Chapter 7

We were standing at the edge of the deck near the balcony. Parang nanuyo ang lalamunan ko sa 'di malamang dahilan

I drank the water he gave me and gathered some courage to talk.

"How did you know about the opening of this bar lounge?" I asked. Starting a small conversation.

He must have heard it or seen it with the ads we made.

"My friend owns this lounge."

Oh. I thought it was because of our campaign.

I unconsciously tucked some stray hair behind my ear.

"How about you?"

I looked at him and saw that he was already looking at me. "What about me?" I asked.

"How did you know about this lounge?"

"Oh. Um. Advertising Campaign. It's my job."

He looked around and back at me. "You did great."

I smiled because I believe we really did a great job at this event.

"You said you're working."

I nodded.

"Where?" he ask curiously.

"De Veyra Industries." I said proudly.

It is one of the biggest industries here in the Philippines and I'm proud to be part of it.

Nag-iwas siya ng tingin at ipinatong ang magkasakop niyang kamay sa railings. Yumuko pa siya ng bahagya dahil masyado siyang matangkad para roon.

I am already wearing a 4inches heels pero he still towered over me.

"You know what's funny?" lumapit ako sa kanya ng kaonti pa at hinila ng bahagya ang kanyang suit jacket.

Napatingin siya sa kamay kong nakahawak sa kanyang suit jacket at mabilis ko naman yung inalis.

"We've met three months ago..." I smiled at him sweetly. "And here we are now talking on a balcony under the beautiful night sky..." I tilt my head up, looking at the sky full of stars. "...Pero hindi pa rin natin alam ang pangalan ng isa't isa." I pouted and looked at him.

He stared at my pouted lips and started breathing raggedly.

"I can't do this." He said as if he's in pain.

I don't know what to think about his words and action but, I wanna know his name. I wanna know HIM.

"Can't you at least tell me your name?" I said. Hoping he will give me more than his name.

He looked at me as if he is in deep thought.

I raised my right hand to meet his. "Hi! My name is Scarlet Hope. What's yours?" I gave him my best smile.

"Enzo bro, I was looking all over for you. May papakilala kasi..." A tall, lean man with a bouffant hair approached us.

Binaba ko ang aking kamay at napatingin sa lalaking bagong dating.

"Uh... May papakilala KA pala sa akin?" Pagtatapos niya ng nakangisi sa akin sabay tapik sa balikat sa lalaking tinawag niyang Enzo.

"Mason, not now." Irita niyang sagot.

Oh. So, I guess Mr. Broody here is Enzo and this other tall guy is Mason.

"Why not?" He ask Enzo, smirking.

"Go. Away. Now." Enzo looked at Mason like he was going to murder the guy.

I stayed quiet the whole time and just listen to the banters of these two tall and handsome guys.
