Chapter 13

Friday is no different from the other days of the week. However, this time, I arrived a little because of an unexpected traffic. This is my first time coming to work late.

There is a saying that says 'There is always a first time for everything'. And I guess that first time is today.

"Good morning! Sorry, I'm late. Traffic!" I said a little loud for my co-workers to hear as I stepped into our floor.

I half-run to my office checking the time on my wristwatch. I only got a little time before my meeting starts.

"Morning Steph, what do you got for me?" I smiled at her as I head straight into my office.

She told me all my to-do things for today while tailing me. "... And lastly, a lovely bouquet has arrived early this morning for you Ms. Lopèz." She smiled brightly.

My cheeks flushed. Since that Monday night happened, araw-araw na nagpapadala ng bulaklak si Enzo. It was all the same though, blue flowers.

Nakita kaagad ng aking mga mata ang mga asul na bulaklak. My smile instantly appear.

Kinuha ko agad ang card sa bouquet. Mas lalong lumapad ang aking ngiti nang mabasa ang kanyang sulat.

'I will see you this weekend. Have a great day ahead.'

There was notes attached to all of the bouquet he sent me and I kept all those in the drawer of my office desk.

All these flowers and notes makes my day. It lightens my mood and I work with more passion.

Ganito palang ang kanyang ginagawa pero he affects me too much already. I don't know how much of Caius Lorenzo my heart could handle but I can't pull from him anymore.

"The AAF confirmed and agreed with the date we gave them. That is tomorrow, Saturday." George said.

We are following the timeline that we did for this campaign and as far as today, everything is running smoothly.

"A group was already formed and sila ang pupunta sa AAF. I will replace Joyce instead, so I'm coming tomorrow." Si Jane.

"Okay. That's good. Everything is settled then?" I asked.

They all answered yes in unison.

"Any questions so far? Other opinions?" I inquired.

They shook their heads.

"I will go with team assigned tomorrow sa AAF. Wala rin naman ako gagawin bukas so, might as well check it myself." I smiled to everyone then winked at Jane.

Alam ni Jane na sasama ako dahil sa kanya. Sabi niya kasi siya lang ang babae bukas kaya naisipan ko na samahan siya. We got really close these past few months.

At lunch time, Jane and I went to the resto near De Veyra building. Nag-crave kami ng pasta so we shared a spaghetti together.

I am thankful to have a bestfriend and also some few friends here in Manila. It helps me adjust faster in this fast pace city and kahit paano nawawala ang homesickness ko. Plus Serene is staying at my condo. Since the event that happen to her in the bar, nag-stay na siya sa condo.

Afternoon went by and I was about to leave the parking lot of De Veyra building nang may muntik na akong masagasaan buti nalang I was fast to step on the break.

Mabilis akong lumabas ng kotse at natawa ng bahagya. "Oh my God James. Are you okay?"

He checked the hood of the car. "Your Audi is fine. Buti naman." His face serious.
