Hey it's been almost two years since I last updated this book. I'm sorry I had alot going on and well I was supposed to have exams this year but due to Corona they've been cancelled. So I have absolutely nothing better to do lmao.  I'll try to update this more regularly - i promise it won't take two years this time *laughs nervously*. Anyways I hope you like this very hastily put together chapter .

I couldn't help but stare at Connor as he lay on his back, hands behind his head, laughing as obnoxiously as possible.

Jason was pissed but it served him right for telling Connor I thought he was sexy.

I didn't even say that!

I said scars can be sexy. Admittedly, it looked pretty hot on Connor but he did not need to know that.

Ugh, I thought about stealing a glance at Connor again but this time I caught Jason's gaze.

He smiled apologetically and turned back to Connor, who was providing him with no help whatsoever.

Maybe I shouldn't have left Jason to decipher the scroll by himself?

Turning my attention back to Percy and Annabeth, I realized they were longer looking at the map.

They were staring directly at me.

"What?" I asked, looking between the both of them. "Do I have something on my face?"

Percy smirked. "Yeah. Luuurveeeeee."

Me? Love? Never.

I grabbed a handful of gravel and threw it in Percy's general direction before turning to Annabeth, who was staring at Angel and Ezra.

They sat on a boulder quite a distance from the gang with their backs to us.

"Hey," Annabeth started, turning back around to face us. "Am I the only one who kinda gets a weird vibe from the twins?"

I looked over at them once again, their silver hair glistening in the Hawaiian sun.

Annabeth was 100% onto something. Their presence was slightly weird but the prophecy said we would meet help on the way, right?

"It just a bit strange that they had the map and a note, which is in code, on hand to help us with this quest."

Wait, Angel and Ezra gave Percy and Annabeth the map and the note Jason and I were deciphering?

I must have gotten so caught up in the whole unconscious Connor situation, that I didn't even notice when they handed them over.

"Nique," Jason said, walking over to us, Connor hot on his trail. "Are you okay?"

"Give me the note."

Jason looked slightly hurt but gave it to me regardless.

Annabeth didn't need to be told twice before she handed the map over.
