Dominique

"Go in the opposite direction," I commanded Connor, crawling up the aisle towards the front of the plane.

The 'whatever' she was, followed me up the aisle, I ducked underneath the closest seat and rolled into the next section.

You see being small can come in handy sometimes.

I watched her slink pass me, as wave of relief come over me.

I tried to figure out, what the stewardess was, but I just couldn't put my finger on it. I mean I'd never actually had a mythology lesson, so I wouldn't have known anyways, but it was the thought that counts.

I looked in both left and right, to ensure the coast was clear. It seemed to be, so I stood up and started to move towards Jason and Annabeth, who were helping an old woman into her seat.

I smiled sweetly at her, whilst picking up a purse, that I assumed to be the old lady's and passed it to her.

"Sorry to disturb, but may I please borrow, these two?" I pulled a sad face, trying to make my act as believable as possible." My fathers' got quite a cut on his leg and was wondering if they could help."

I shot Jason a stern look, conveying the message of 'help me out.' He raised his eyebrows, but eventually understood. I did the same to Annabeth, who got the message immediately.

"Yes, we should go and help her father," Annabeth said whilst walking towards me.

The old woman grabbed her arm and flipped it into an uncomfortable angle. "Oh, do not be silly. I'm sure your 'father' will live."

Annabeth tried to wiggle out of her grasp, but she latched on tighter. She yelped in pain. I looked at Annabeth's arm and saw what was on the elderly woman's hands. Claws.

The next thing to come to my mind was the Stewardess. The old woman even had the same striking red hair as her.

Annabeth's face twisted in agony as the woman dug her claws further into her arm. I tilled my head, pointed to my left arm, signalling for to get her free arm ready.

Whilst the woman was distracted with Annabeth, I dashed down to the gallery and picked up the biggest thing I could find. A silver platter.

I ran back to Jason and slyly passed it to him, before standing beside him again.

But the old woman was no longer there, neither was the stewardess, instead something even more terrifying.

"Empousa," Jason whispered, sensing my confusion.

The creature was nothing like I'd ever seen before. She was a beautiful woman, with long flowing hair. Except it wasn't hair, it was fire and it must double up as wings, because she and Annabeth were no longer on the ground. Her skin was an unhealthy purple and instead of two legs, she had one hoof and a bronze leg.

"Throw it, on my cue," I said quietly. Jason nodded firmly and turning back to the Empousa.

"Annabeth!" I shouted, running up to her. "Now!"

Jason hurled the platter as hard as he could in Annabeth direction, she caught it effortlessly and swiped it across the beasts' neck. The Empousa dropped Annabeth and screeched but turned it's attention to me.

"You!" She screamed, lunging at me for the third time, today!

I tried to jump out of the way, but at the last second she used her claw to pull me back.
