Dominique
And there I was, facing the person and centaur that I hadn't seen in seven years.
The two most hated people in my life.
Everyone else in the room just stared at us three as the tension in the room rose slowly.
"Um, so, you've met?" Stammered Leo, failing miserably to cut the tension.
A for effort ,though.
I glared at the Annabeth girl, who looked tired. She grew up to be a beautiful woman, her hair still long and bouncy, tied up in a ponytail. Her eyes still seemed to be dark and judging, as if she was facing a difficult equation, which just happen to be me. She now, however, had a hint of sadness in them. Whatever. She deserved it.
"Unfortunately, yes." I grumbled, not taking my eyes of her. She looked away, embarrassed.
"We looked for you." She responded in barely a whisper.
"As usual, you're chatting shit." I spat, turning around to walk away. Who cared if Chiron was about to tell me off? He's not my dad. Or someone I respected anymore.
"I didn't mean for you-" She started, her grey eyes becoming even sadder.
Not that I cared about what she thought. She betrayed me and deserved every bit of what she got.
"Didn't mean for what? For me to have to fend for myself for seven years? Or that I had to learn to use my abilities myself because you didn't have any? Or maybe the part when I almost died of hunger or thirst!" I started to raise my voice. " Tell me Annabeth; what part didn't you mean to happen?"
"Nique, I was- "
"Don't call me Nique!" I exploded. "I'm not your fucking friend! As far as I'm concerned, you shouldn't even be regarded as a human being!"
My vision started to blur as I realised I was no longer looking at Annabeth. I was engulfed in a circle of flames.
I let out a yelp of frustration, causing the flames to grow in size. I tried to control the fire but instead it grew almost three times it original size. I screamed.
Calm down! Come on Nique, let it go! Please! Nico's voice pleaded in my head.
Turning around, I remembered where I was and who I was. This rage-infused fire producing monster, was not me.
I felt as if I was a deflated balloon, my eyes grew heavy and my legs weak. I could no longer carry my own body weight.
"Leo, get to her!" Someone exclaimed, but black dots consumed my vision before anyone could help me.
× × ×
"She could have killed us all, well, except Mr Immune-To-Fire here. Jeeze. Imagine if her fire affected me. I haven't had my BJ yet and I'm still a virgin. Oh gods. I could have died a virgin. A bloody virgin-"
The male voice was obstructed by what seemed like a whack on the back of the head.
"Shut the actually Hades up, Leo." Annabeth growled. "A girl was about to die."
I opened both my eyes to a room full of people and a centaur (obviously Chiron).
I looked up and realised I was resting my head on Nico's lap. He smiled sadly at me, placing his palm on my head. It was very cold, but it was refreshing.
"What happened?" I groaned. My throat was dry.
"Oh, except from the fact that you almost tried to blow up the Big House?" Leo smirked. "Nothing, curly fry."
Did he just call me Curly fry?
'Don't bother, he's stubborn. Better get used to it... Curly fry.' Nico replied
Nico pulled a face at me, whilst I slyly flipped him off. He smiled revealing his deep dimples.
Someone stepped towards us, causing Nico to sigh.
"Our resident fire fighter, Percy over here put out the fire," Annabeth said softly, whilst a good looking boy with black hair and piercing green eyes threw his arms up dramatically.
"Seaweed brain, now fire fighter. I swear I can never win!" he sulked.
I guess that's the famous Percy.
Annabeth seized my hand wrapping her fingers around mine. I was so tempted to snatch my hand back immediately. But Nico pinched me. Hard.
Hear her out, he told me. So I listened.
"Dominique, there us absolutely no way I can change what you've been through or undo my actions but I can tell you, I'm terribly sorry. I've been sorry for the last seven years. So I tried to look for you but couldn't find you but I prayed to the Gods every single day and now you're here. I didn't mean for thus to get so out of hand. I just hope you don't hate me or at the very least will forgive me."
By the time, she had finished, we were both in tears.
Though I wanted to forgive her, what she did could have caused me to lose my life.
"Wait, what did you do Annabeth?" Percy enquired, looking as confused as ever.
Even though, I hated Annabeth for what she had done, if I were her I'd want everyone to find out in due time. Now, clearly, was not a good time.
Chiron clearly had the same idea, as he cleared his throat and stepped into my eye line.
"I am truly and utterly apologetic about what happened but since you are here, it means we are a quarter of the way towards the fulfilling of the prophecy."
Will, Nico and Percy exchanged confused glances, whilst Leo and Annabeth exchanged a nervous one. I was just stunned.
I was part of a prophecy?
Leo cleared his throat.
"The prophecy foretold-"
Chiron interrupted him and received a death stare in return. I could have sworn his eyes flashed orange for a brief moment.
"You will hear of the prophecy in due time. Preferably when all that are involved from Camp Half Blood and likewise of Camp Jupiter are present." Chiron turned towards Percy. "First thing in the morning Iris message Jason Grace and tell him to come as soon as possible with Frank, Hazel and Reyna."
Percy nodded and put his arm around Annabeth.
"I want everyone to their cabins now. We have an important day ahead of us tomorrow," Chiron finally said before leaving the room.
We all filed out gradually with Percy and a puffy eyed Annabeth leaving first, followed by Leo and finally Will, Nico and I.
I could already feel that tomorrow was going to be a long day.
Once again thank you soo much sthxngg for editing. x
