Jason"So, I've been a lil' bit stingy..."
We averted our eyes from the Hawaiian girls, who were putting Hawaiian white and purple orchid Leis around our necks, to Annabeth, who looked up from her notepad.
"I'm not planning to strut up to a hotel and announce that I've booked half a dozen rooms. We're sharing rooms made for two."
"What kind of two?" Connor grinned, waving his arms about as he skipped down the path. "The detours two, or-"
"The other one, Connor! Keep your fantasies on the low" Annabeth uttered, rolling her eyes and checking her surroundings.
Her eyes seemed to stare down the horizon as if it did something to piss her off. Connor only shrugged and accidentally whacked Dominique.
She barged him back. Hard.
I didn't know what to think of Dominique. Her presence was definitely more welcoming than Nico, but not as warm as Hazel's. I felt as if she was trying to keep a solid front, but was really soft on the inside. I mean, she really doubted herself, back on the plane.
"Bro, wanna share a room?" I was snapped out of my thoughts as I felt a nudge from the left side of me. Percy looked at me, his green eyes squinted from the intense sun. I rolled my eyes and gently elbowed him.
"Don't worry, I give you my permission to sleep in the same room as Annabeth." I teased, thinking that he was probably too shy to be in the same room as her.
He pursed his lips instead of smiling or jokingly shrugging me off like I thought he would.
"Um, no, it's not about permission-"
"As long as you keep the noise to a minimum."
"-That's not why-"
"And use protection. Wrap everything up before midnight."
Percy looked frustrated, which started to cause me to be concerned. Pausing, I pulled him away and whispered to him.
"You alright?"
Percy looked surprised for a moment before laughing.
"Yeah, yeah! I'll take your advice. Tho' I'm definitely not gonna need it."
"Why? She's good-looking with a great personality, isn't she?"
Percy jokingly raised an eyebrow and crossed his arms.
"Um... you have a girlfriend. A daughter of Aphrodite, no less. She'll literally smell the cheating."
I laughed along with him but couldn't help notice that he didn't say 'that's my girlfriend you're talking about'. I felt as if I was reading into it too much, so I left it.
Piper's mum was definitely rubbing onto me. I shuddered at the thought.
"Hey! If you guys have finished your little chit chat, you can join us in the hotel." Annabeth called out to us, causing us to walk together to the hotel.
