Annabeth

"I'm never getting on a plane again." Was literally the first thing I heard, as soon as we were off the plane.

And honest to the Gods', I do not think I'd ever agreed to something so quickly before in my life.

I muttered every curse word I knew under my breath as we staggered into the airport. Not one of us wanted to be anywhere near that Gods' forsaken contraption any longer than we needed to, so we whizzed through baggage control and security in record time, once again.

On leaving the airport, I let out huge sigh of relief before turning back to the gang.

I'd booked a hotel for us to sleep and plan our next move.

"So, Annabeth. Where's the hotel?" Connor asked, using his arms to shield his eyes from the beating sun.

I pulled out my notebook. "It's the lāʻaoʻao lā Resort. It should be-" I looked around before pointing to the far left, to a thirty-storey glass building, with fake flowers dotted around the entire mid-section. "There!"

The other turned to look where I was pointing.

"Alright, we know where the hotel is. Standing here and gawking at it is not going to help anyone." Dominique muttered sarcastically, getting a head start towards the hotel.

"Who hurt her?" Jason laughed quietly before following her.

Evidently it wasn't quite enough, as Dominique stopped in her tracks and bent down to pick up a small stone before throwing it as hard as she could in Jason's general direction.

Though, I doubt she was actually aiming to hit him.

"The fucking Empousa hurt me, Jason!" She replied.

Jason simply dodged the stone, laughed and draped his arm around Dominique, as they continued towards the hotel.

They rest of us, just laughed and followed them.

It was barely a three-minute walk from the airport to the hotel. Once we'd arrived, they all dashed towards the entrance, like little children.

Well, they attempted too but there were multiple girls dressed in traditional Hawaiian attire, waiting at the door, presenting Hawaiian Leis. The girls blocked them from entrance, so I didn't have too

I needed to explain the situation with rooms.

I may or may not have only booked three rooms. But I had a very logical reason behind my doing so.

"So, I've been a lil' bit stingy..."

"Dominique, open the door!" I yelled, pounding hard on the door with both hands.

"No! Go to Percy's room!" She screamed back, for the seventh time.

Frustrated, I rested my arms on the door and screamed into them. I should have remembered how stubborn Dominique was from when she first joined camp, seven years ago.

Unexpectedly, the door flew open causing me to leap backwards and bash my head on the framed Yellow hibiscus, that was hung on the wall.

Oops.

Rubbing the back of my head, I stood up, glaring at the girl.

"What the actual-"

"You're sleeping in Percy's room. Whether you like it or not," Dominique stated rolling my grey suitcase a couple doors down. "I don't know what's happening between both of you. But whatever it is, y'all need to sort it out."

I scowled at her but I knew she was right. Percy's been acting strange and instead of me, to try and help him out or at least figure out the problem, I've been acting up and giving him the cold shoulder.

I followed her to room '209', purposefully dragging my feet to tell her I didn't want to be there. Dominique took one look at me and rolled her eyes, before knocked loudly on the door.

Percy opened the door immediately, and smiling at Dominique, but didn't acknowledge me at all.

I deserved that, to be fair. I've been doing the same for the last two days.

"Hey, can I come in?" She asked, though she was already rolling my suitcase into his room. I followed her inside, closing the door behind me.

The room was pristine white with a yellow rim on the ceilings and occasionally poking out between furniture on the ground. A huge king sized, four poster bed occupied majority of the room; though it left space for some a small stylish yellow block desk and chair.

Dominique parked my suitcase in front of the single ceiling to floor window and made her way back towards the door before stopping short.

"Now, Percy, Annabeth is staying in your room. No objections, y'all need to sort out whatever is happening between the both you."

I could tell Percy wanted to object but decided against it and simply just nodded again before speaking.

"OK. I have some things I would like to say to her, anyway."

Dominique smiled and left the room, leaving Percy and I in awkward silence.

I turned to Percy, who was sitting at the desk at the other side of the room. He was already looking at me.

"Hey," I said shyly, rubbing the back of my neck.

He didn't respond, but came and sat next to me on the side of the bed.

"I feel like, now would be the perfect time for me explain what happened between Dominique and I." I continued.

He once again didn't say anything, instead he lay back, hands behind his head and stared at the ceiling.

I assumed he was listening, and began to explain our situation from the beginning.

Pausing every one in a while, to look at his reactions, but he kept a straight face the entire time, not taking his eyes off the ceiling.

"-And that's what happened," I concluded.

I was no longer facing Percy, I had re positioned myself and was now just looking straight ahead at the blank flat screen mounted to the wall.

Percy sat up beside me, joining me to stare at the blank television.

"I already knew."

"What?" I asked, looking him square in the eye.

He sighed. "I said, I already knew about you and Dominique's history."

I could feel tears welling up in my eyes, but I refused to allow them to fall.

"Annabeth, I already knew about what you did to Dominique. Yeah, at first I was pissed off. You've got to admit that was a pretty dickhead thing to do," he started, staring directly at me. "But that's between you and Dominique. But now, I'm pissed at you for multiple different reasons. I've been down for the last couple of days; everyone has asked me why or tried to comfort me in whatever way they can. Everyone, but the one person I actually wanted to check up on me. You. The funny thing is that you were the reason, I was feeling that way in the first place."

Percy's sea green eyes glistened as he continued.

"Annabeth, you know how much I love you but sometimes, it isn't all about you."

Percy stood up and pulled one of the blankets from the bed unto the ground before laying down, turning off the lights whilst he did so.

I slid underneath the remaining covers.

Allowing the tears to finally fall.
