- you owe yourself the love you give to other people -

It started out as a regular night, you were over at Jojis apartment, your boyfriend of 1 week. The relationship was still pretty new, so you were both still in the cute, awkward phase.

You hadn't planned to stay this late, but now it was 2am, and you were a little tipsy, so driving wasn't a good idea, and taking an uber is pretty expensive, but, it is your only option.

SNL was playing on the tv, your head resting in jojis lap, and his legs rested on the coffee table. His fingers were twisting through your hair, running his hands through the waves.

You grabbed your phone and let out a sigh when you saw the time, 2:34 am. "Alright Joj, I think I'm gonna head home, its late," you murmured, removing your head from his lap and sitting up.

"O-oh alright" he nodded, letting out a yawn. "I can drive you home?" he offered, standing up and following you to the door, where you began to put your shoes back on.

He watched as you started tying up the laces of your vans, he looked like he was going to say something, and you so desperately wanted him to, because you didn't want to uber home, you wanted to be with him.

But things were too awkward and too new to say anything.

Just as you slid your other shoe on, suddenly, he spoke up. "STAY" he blurted out, so quickly it almost scared you.

"i mean, s-stay for the night, if you want." he muttered out again, leaning against the wall, watching you intently.

and you smiled, but shook your head, you couldn't stay this late, your roommate would worry.

you stood up, pulling on your jacket. but he grabbed your wrist gently, pulling you back.

"joj-" you sighed, trying to hide your smile and pink blushing cheeks. he murmured,
"it's late - i don't want you on the streets at this hour."

the clock hanging in the hall, lit up the dark hallway, illuminating jojis figure. the street outside lit by street lamps, patches of orange lit up spots on the apartment floor.

you have to admit, walking home didn't seem to great of an idea right now, it was late, and joji was super warm.

"you shouldn't have let me stay this long," you sighed, contemplating the options over in your head.

"you know i'm not good at goodbyes," he smiled, pulling you closer to him, your chests almost touching. he raised his eyebrow, still wanting to know the answer to his question.

"okay," you nodded, and jojis face lit up.

you've never stayed at his place before, you've had plenty of late night dates, but you've never once stayed the night at eachothers houses.

but you blushed at the thought of waking up next to him.

your heart races with nervousness and excitement, there's no denying that you want to stay, but it is a little nerve wracking.

but you know joji will keep you safe - there's no doubt he won't.

within minutes, your jacket and shoes were off, and you stood in jojis bedroom.

"but i don't have anything to wear," you protested, looking down at your high waisted jeans and tube top.

all he did was grin and walk over to his drawer, where he pulled out a shirt, and he handed it to you.

he left the room to get his phone, well you changed.

the shirt was big on you, falling past your waist and resting right above your knees. there's a lingering scent of him, it settles into your skin and keeps you warm, despite the thin material.

he walked back into the room, and a smile grew on his lips. because seeing you in a shirt he had worn so many times made his heart race.

"you're beautiful,"

you smiled, and thanked him quietly. he doesn't know what else to say; when you're so gorgeous in the moonlight.

the pale, white, light shining onto every slope and dip on your body, making you appear as an angel.

you slip into the sheets if his bed with him, and your body finds his in between the blankets. legs tangled and torsos touching.

you don't know it, but you leave him speechless all the time.

he traces your collarbone with the pad of his fingers, before they sweep your jaw, he could barely believe that someone as perfect as you, actually exsisted.

"get some sleep angel," he whispers.

you nod, you're not sure what to say to describe the butterflies that we're flying rounds in your tummy. or the tingles that wash over your skin as you buried yourself under the sheets that smelt like him.

your hands slide themselves up his torso, burying your head onto his chest, and he leaned down, pressing a kiss to your head.

and you fell asleep to the sound of his heartbeat, and that's when you realized;

you were in love, and there is no place you would rather be.
