your pov

- 1 year in advance -

"good morning mommy!" eva's little voice rung throughout the kitchen, and you smiled, turning around to see eva running through the halls, with joji in tow.

"good morning pretty girl," i grinned, leaning down to kiss her head.

"mom can't pick you up anymore, remember? because your little sibling is growing in her tummy." joji beemed, pouring some coffee into a mug.

this pregnancy definitely wasn't easy, and you were just as sick this time as you were with eva, but, this time was a little different because you had your husband and the cutest daughter in the world by your side.

the baby was due in 5 months, and joji was counting down the days, he was so excited to have another eva, and to be here for the whole thing this time.

"let me see what dad dressed you in this morning," i called, walking into the living room to see eva putting on her socks.

joji had loved picking out outfits for eva, so i let him, on the condition that i had to check them before she left the house for school

joji had loved picking out outfits for eva, so i let him, on the condition that i had to check them before she left the house for school.

"mom approved?" joji grinned, continuing to cut up eva's breakfast. i nodded, a smile on my face, and i continued making eva's lunch.

you cut eva's sandwich in half and packed it away into her little lady bug lunch box, "okay, i've got your lunch, let's hit the road pumpkin," joji called out to eva, who was putting on her socks on the living room floor.

this is how every morning went, you would pack up eva's lunch and joji would drive her to kindergarten, and you would try not to cry at the sight of eva because, they just grow up so fast!

joji kissed you softly then leaned down to kiss your tummy, "i love you," he grinned, scooping up eva, making her giggle, and grabbing her backpack in the other hand and left the kitchen,

"bye baby!" i called, and i heard eva giggle, "bye mommy!" and then joji chiming in, "bye babe!" and i heard the front door close behind them.

i smiled, and lay my hand on my stomach, flipping through a cookbook and trying to debate what i could make for dinner that both eva, joji and the baby in your stomach would like.

you walked upstairs to start to clean eva's room, and you strolled through the hallway, past all the family photos of you, joji and eva, your and jojis wedding photos, (where eva made an appearance as a flower girl), and the first christmas with the three of you when you were in the first few months of your pregnancy.

seeing the photos on the wall made your heart flutter, you really had the cutest little family in the entire world.

and you began to clean up eva's room, putting away her clean clothes and neatly making her bed, you worked from home and only worked specific hours to spend time with your family.
