There was just something about you that made him loose. his. mind.

He spent a lot of time thinking about it, he couldn't quite figure it out. Maybe it was your hair, or your laugh that always rang through his ears, or maybe just your face, or your little frame, or—

"So, can i move the 2pm meeting to tomorrow morning?" your sweet little voice snapped him right out of his daydreams about you.

"Yeah, yes. That's fine. Thanks, sweetness." he replied, making your cheeks become painted with a soft pink glow.

You nodded, chewing on your bottom lip and turning your attention to your perfectly organized and colour-coded daily planner.

He loved when you sat your cute little butt down in his office and asked him questions. As you closed the front page of your planner, he started to wrack his mind for another reason for you to stay in his office, just so he could look at you for a bit longer.

"I was uh... thinking about maybe redecorating? What do you think? I would love your input." he grinned, leaning back in his chair.

"Oh, this is so exciting!" you beamed, flashing your smile that always made his heart melt. He would do just about anything to see that smile.

"I'll look on Pinterest and have some ideas for you by the end of the day, sir!" you continued, standing up from the chair on the other side of his desk.

"Thanks, angel." he smiled, you grinned, your heart racing. all these sweet pet names made your heart flutter.

you spun on your heel and turned out of his office, your curled hair bouncing with each step. He now noticed the little white bow in your hair. how fitting— sweet, small, and innocent, just like his angel.

it had been 2.5 weeks since your boss had kissed you in the elevator, after saving your tragic valentine's day, and you had not stopped thinking of him since.

there has been no other flirtatious gestures on his behalf since. this made you have two main feelings: a deep, deep, adoration for him, and second, the purest form of anger towards him for playing with your feelings like they were nothing— like you meant nothing to him at all.

you had tried your very hardest to be cold towards him, but that was a bit hard to do when you remembered the new car he bought you, or when you had to talk to him and stare at his handsome face and the little grey hairs that peppered his hair.

now, it was 3:30 pm, and you were scrolling Pinterest trying to find new ideas for his office, tapping your pink nails onto the desk, and trying your hardest to stop thinking about your boss in a sexual manner.

you felt like you were going crazy. what was so wrong with you that one kiss scared him away?

you knew being so obsessed with an older man, your new BOSS at that, would not end well.

...then why did it feel so good?

Since Mr. Miller had essentially been ignoring you (this was not true at all; he spoke to you multiple times during the day and went out of his way to do things for you and compliment your work), you decided your job was much too boring without romance. Luckily, a solution had fallen into your lap.

That solution is Nathan from accounting.

Normally you were terrible at comprehending when people were being flirtatious with you, but after one day with 4 separate visits from him, you put the pieces together and thought that he might have had a crush on you.
