j o j i
i had been searching for her for weeks, i needed to talk to her, i need to see her, and finally i found her.
i had found out she lived in an apartment right in the center of brooklyn, pretty close to me, maybe this was fate?
my palms began to become very sweaty, and my heart beat pounded through my chest. maybe this was a mistake? no, no. we made a promise.
y/n had been my best friend since freshman year of highschool, we really were inseparable.
not too long after we became friends, i had caught feelings for her, i was in so deep.then we graduated, she said she wanted to travel and go to school somewhere else, i loved her and wanted what was best for her, so i let her go.
after that, as much as i tried to talk to her, we lose touch, and i was heartbroken, a piece of me was missing.
my hand shaking as i opened her apartment complex's door, my hand had a death grip on the paper i was holding. the paper read: y/n ; third floor 316.
i took a shaky breath and punched three into the elevator pad. the elevator door closed and started to make its way to the third floor.
i was fighting off the thoughts that told me to turn around, and she wouldn't want to see me, she wouldn't care.
the doors opened and my heart felt like it was gonna fall out of my chest. i took a deep breath and walked out of the elevator, and began making my way to 316.
"312, 313, 314, 315, 316.." i took a second to regroup and try to calm myself down. then i finally knocked on the door.
i closed my eyes, praying she was home, she had to be. "coming!" i heard her yell, and i felt my heart beat pound faster.
i could make out her footsteps coming to the door and she whipped the door open, there she was, the most beautiful girl i'd ever seen.
her hair was the same, silky and looked like it smelt amazing, her skin glowing and her eyes, don't even get my started on those damn eyes.
some mom jeans clung to her hips and a tank top was tied up tightly around her waist and boobs, which looked great, might i add.
"joji!" she screamed, jumping up and throwing her arms around my neck, and when i finally had her in my arms again, i couldn't even breathe.
your pov
you were on your couch, watching netflix and relaxing, considering that it was middle of the day thursday.
knock knock knock, three loud knocks echoed through the apartment, "coming!" you called out, running over to the door.
you opened the door to see someone you hadn't seen in years, joji.
"joji!" you screamed, running to him and throwing your arms around him, he squeezed you back.
you pulled away, "what are you doing here? i missed you so much!" i grinned, "well, it's a long story" he chuckled, "well, come in" i giggled, grabbing his hand and dragging him into my apartment.
"do you want anything to drink or something?" i asked, sitting down next to joji on my couch, "no, i'm fine, anyway, you're probably wondering why i'm here." he stuttered, looking down at the floor.
"do you remember when we were sixteen? and you broke up with your boyfriend, and i was single? so we made a promise to just get married at 28 if we weren't in a relationship? well, i found that paper." joji muttered.
you were a little shocked but nodded, of course you remembered. joji handed you the paper, with pink pen there was your entire promise written out.
"so, i mean. i know it's sudden, but we did make a promise. so we owe it to our sixteen year old selfs to try, right?" he smiled, patting my thigh.
i smiled, i guess we did owe it to ourselves to try, "a-alright, let's go on a date then" i nodded.
his face lit up and nodded back, "it's a date."
