your pov

work had been brutal lately, you've been on 2 hours of sleep for the past couple weeks, you knew being a law student was going to be tough, but not like this.

you are a by the book workaholic, usually joji, your boyfriend is there to check up on you during the particularly long cases, making sure you're eating and sleeping.

but recently, with 88risings tour coming up and album release next month, he had been pretty busy too, leaving you to fend for yourself.

joji had been at the studio all day, and currently you were almost done a custody battle case, which had been going on for 3 damn weeks.

you hadn't eaten anything except gum and coffee for the past 7 days, and sleep wasn't even in the picture, maybe an hour or two around 4 or 5 in the morning, before you have to go to the office.

you were trying to just finish the paperwork for tonight, then you could go to sleep, but the case kept dragging on, and on, and on. and the head attorney at your office kept messaging you things you should be adding onto the case file.

you were so wrapped up in work, that you hadn't even noticed joji coming into the apartment, and into your office.

"hey baby" he mumbled, placing his hands on your shoulders. "oh, hi joj" you responded, continuing to type on your computer.

"it's 2 in the morning, when was the last time you slept?" he questioned, sitting in a chair next to you. "uh, tuesday?" you replied, not turning your attention of work.

"princess, it's thursday... so you haven't slept for two days?" he exclaimed, "joji, i've been really caught up in work lately" you groaned, you usually have this argument with him every time a big case comes up.

"please go shower and i'll make you something to eat, alright?" he asked softly, "okay, in a minute though, i've just got to finish this-" you were cut off by joji closing all your computer tabs.

"BABE! ARE YOU ON CRACK!? WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO!?" you shouted, scrambling around, trying to get the tabs back. "please just shower, or i'll turn the wifi off" he muttered, standing up and leaving the office.

you sighed and stood up, walking to your bathroom. you looked at yourself in the mirror, rough would be an understatement.

you had purple under eye bags, which complimented your blood shot eyes, your skin looked greasy and your hair was dirty and tangled.

you sighed and stripped out of your clothes and hopped in the shower, quickly you did your shower routine, and you had forgotten how good showering felt.

you hopped out and wrapped yourself up in some fuzzy white towels, then head to your bedroom to change.

you grabbed one of jojis shirts and some black sweatpants, then head out into the kitchen, where the smell of food caught your attention.

you were welcomed with a plate of rice, and vegetables, which looked delicious, considering you hadn't eaten a full meal in a week.

"thank you baby" you spoke softly, sitting down at the table, he sat with you, and watched you eat and listened to you ranting about this case.

you finished your food quickly and got up, heading back to your office, "well, thank you babe, i'll see you tomorrow" you smiled, before walking into your office.

"uh, no. you're coming to bed" joji insisted, "joji, i just want to finish this paperwork-" you sighed, but was quickly cut off.

"do i need to carry you?" he sighed, crossing his arms infront of his chest. you shook your head and walked down the hallway and into your room.

you collapsed onto the bed and dove under the sheets, you had also forgotten how good your bed felt.

joji climbed into bed next to you, and because of habit, you turned to face him, his chin rested on your head, and he wrapped your arms around you, your legs tangled together.

"i love you so much, y/n. i just worry about you" he whispered. "i love you more joji, thank you for taking care of me" you whispered back, and soon after that, you fell asleep on each others arms, and you finally got your much needed rest..
