Sirius and James tried to teach Peter and Remus their language when it was made up but this is all their attempts in a nutshell:
With Peter
Sirius: No Peter that's 'who' not 'that'! Honestly, how'd you even mix those two up...
Peter: Then is this 'who'? *does gesture*
James: No! That's 'he'! 'Who' is a thumb twitch, not a twirl of the arm!
Peter: I thought the thumb twitch was 'she'?
Sirius: *groans*
With Remus
Remus: What is the difference between 'why' and 'is'?
Sirius: 'Why' is this *does gesture*
James: 'Is' is this *does gesture*
Remus: ?? They're basically just a pinky twitch?
James: No no no with 'is' your pinky bends further see?
Sirius: Totally different
Remus: ... I am never going to learn this language...
In the end, Remus only understands the unique ones like his friends' names and Peter is unable to decode anything.
The teachers are so done when they see the duo using it in lessons. McGonagall has a whole diagram but can, like Remus, only recognize the unique ones.
James and Sirius forever confuse the shit out of everyone with their genius language.
