James and Sirius would always stand on the Gryffindor table in the Great Hall; James when he wanted to ask Lily out, which was every day, and Sirius whenever he had some kind of announcement. He once announced that he was hungry to the whole school when he was a first year.
Sometimes both of them would be standing on the table together, pulling up a nervous Peter and a very exasperated Remus up with them. This would more often than not, result in disaster in many ways.
In fact, it happened so much by their third or fourth year, most of the students who had been there for more than a year didn't even blink.
