So at first I thought that James, Sirius and Peter told Remus they were going to become Animagi directly but after knowing them for two months THAT IS TOTALLY NOT WHAT HAPPENED.
No, it all began when James, Sirius and Peter were all being way too quiet and Remus questioned them.
And they were internally panicking because WE CAN'T JUST TELL HIM WE'RE GOING TO BE ANIMAGI... can we?
Then Sirius gets so nervous he straight up chokes on the leaf and spits it out. Remus, upon seeing that, freaks out because taking random leaves from the Greenhouse and putting them in their mouths is something James and Sirius would totally do, regardless of whether it's toxic or not.
He's about to go to Sprout to ask what that leaf was and Sirius has to grab his hand to stop him.
"If you don't want me to go to Sprout then are telling WHAT YOU WERE THINKING!" Remus exclaims.
The other three exchange glances like Well, we're screwed.
Remus is then pulled aside by the rest of the Marauders and is told the whole truth.
His eyes go wide and much to the others' alarm he starts crying, because he's only met these boys for a year and they're breaking the law for him.
