Chapter 3

Lucy puffed out her red cheeks as Natsu pinned her against the locker, ushering her to tell him why she looks sad. Every time he asked, she'd simply shrug it off and continue putting her books away so the pinkette decided to take a more..intimate approach.

Natsu stared into her big brown eyes. Being this close to her made his vampire senses go crazy. The smell of her blood was too much to handle just by being near her but this close to her? He was afraid of losing control. None the less, he couldn't let Lucy be sad when she obviously needed comfort so he pushed back the urge to bite her.

"What's wrong Luce?"

"I told you Natsu..it's nothing."

The pinkette could tell in her voice it wasn't just nothing. It was definitely something. Lucy's hand hitting his head brought him out of his thoughts.

"Why are you so close to me anyways?!"

"You never complained about it before."

Lucy blushed and looked away from Natsu, refusing to let him see how red her face was. Of course, the two have always been close. They always cuddled while watching movies, even while sleeping! But him being so close to the point that she could feel his breath on her face was too much for her heart to handle.

The two were struggling with each other's presence, but they both loved it. They loved being close to each other. Then the moment was ruined.

"Yo Flame-brain! Stop scaring the poor girl." Lucy giggled as Gray walked over with Juvia. Natsu just growled "get some clothes on ya stripper."

Gray looked down and realized he lost his shirt and pants "fuck!"

Juvia and Lucy laughed at the two boys. Even though they argued like enemies would, everyone knew the two cared for each other like brothers. Erza walked over and bashed their heads together "not in front of the girls!"

Lucy grabbed Natsu's hand "its time for Lunch, to the roof?"

Natsu grinned and nodded, gripping Lucy's hand and ran to the roof. Lucy giggled and sat down in her usual spot. Natsu stared, his eyes turning red as he smelled Lucy. For some reason, he was attracted to Lucy's scent more than anyone else's. He knew he liked the girl, yeah he realized that a while ago but he's dated lots of girls, drank from them, then made them forget it ever happened but they never satisfied him or attracted him by their scent.

Lucy was different. Natsu felt like he was losing control when he's near her. Just the thought of him drinking her blood makes him go crazy.

Lucy looked at Natsu, tilting her head "Natsu? Are you okay?" The boy looked at Lucy and nodded slowly "Yeah..I'm fine.." the pinkette sat next to the blonde and took a bite out of her sandwich. Lucy laid her head on Natsu's shoulder.

"You never told me what's wrong."

Lucy sighed and took a bite out of her sandwich "my dad wants me back at the mansion..said he's got a nice young man for me to marry when I graduate." Natsu growled, wrapping his arm around Lucy's shoulder. The boy pulled her closer.

"I won't let him get you." Natsu looked Lucy in the eyes "he won't touch you." The blonde smiled and giggled "you've never been this serious."

Natsu grinned at her, slowly starting to tickle her. Lucy busted out laughing, holding on to Natsu's arms "N-Natsu stop! Haha!" Natsu just smirked, continuing to tickle Lucy.

The blonde yelped as she fell backwards with Natsu on top of her. Lucy's face turned as red as Erza's scarlet hair "Natsu..?"

The pinkette stared at Lucy, his eyes turning red "Luce.." the two leaned closer. Lucy swore Natsu could hear how fast her heart was beating. Lucy closed her eyes.

Natsu put a hand in Lucy's hair , leaning closer to her face and closing his eyes.

Gray opened the door to the roof and smirked "hey Lucy, flame bra-"

The two opened their eyes. Lucy blushed and kicked Natsu off of her "you saw n-nothing Gray!" The black haired boy smirked, laughing "looked like Natsu was about to get laid!" Natsu ran at him and tackled him "say it again and I'll smack ya!"

Lucy put a hand to her heart, smiling softly.

Gray whispered "you could've bit her Yknow." Natsu nodded, sighing "but I didn't. I was just gonna kiss her.." Gray nodded and smirked "damn ash for brains. Trying to get your girl huh?" Gray stood up "don't forget, mating season is coming up. Yo Lucy! Lisanna wants to invite you to her party."

Lucy smiled and ran over to the two boys "I'll talk to her later about it." She grabbed Natsu's hand, pulling him up "is your head okay?"

Natsu grinned at her, rubbing the back of his neck "Yeah, it's fine." Lucy smiled at him. She packed up her stuff and sighed "I should get going, bye guys!" Lucy waved goodbye and ran to the door. Natsu sighed and laid on the ground.

"Hurts huh? Her blood smells really good." Gray said.

"I know..but I won't ever bite her. Never."

But could he stay true to his word?
