Falling For A Vampire ✔️

Chapter 10

Lucy gripped onto her skirt, sweating nervously. Erza wasn't..she looked crazy. Her eyes twitched, her hair was sticking up slightly, she looked like she was about to kill someone. That someone was Natsu.

Everything was silent until Erza spoke.

"Natsu, sit up."

The pinkette did as he was told.

There was another moment of silence before Erza held out her hand.

A large sword formed into her hand "I'll have your head for endangering vampires!" Erza held up her sword, ready to cut Natsu's head off. Lucy jumped in front of Natsu, holding her hands up "heh can't we just talk about this? Like Jellal said, I need him alive."

Natsu grumbled and mumbled something under his breath "thanks for carin' Luce.." the blonde hit him on the head.

"I-I'm sure he has a good explanation for telling me. Right Natsu?" The blonde looked at the vampire. Natsu didn't have a reason to tell her, but he could make one up, right?

"Um..mating season is coming up! I didn't want to act weird around her and have her confused."

That had to of worked. Erza tossed the sword into the air, it immediately disappearing. Lucy sighed, relieved "wait, mating season? What's that?"

So they explained it to the blonde. When they finished, Lucy's face was redder than Erza's hair "s-so Natsu has to mark me during mating season?" Erza nodded and showed her mark on her neck.

Erza's mark was a sword pointing left and a staff with a..weird circle with an eye in the middle crossing over the sword and pointing right. It was beautiful.

Lucy stared at it "Jellal did that?" Erza nodded, remembering the memory "it was after years of not seeing each other..it's an amazing memory. Back to the topic at hand." Erza shook her head, trying to get back on topic.

"You're..different than any other human we've smelled. Your blood smells too sweet to even be a humans but there's no way you could be anything else. You've shown no signs of a different species." Lucy looked at Erza, confused.

"Why are you telling me this?"

"I'm afraid that if Natsu marks you, it'll hurt you or even kill you. There's always been a case of a vampire marking a human but you don't..you don't smell like a human." Lucy tried to understand but it was hard for her, she's still new to everything.

"So it's dangerous for Natsu and I?"

"Yes. If I knew what you were, it'd be easier to give you a direct answer. I could get Levy or Mira to research it if I knew." Jellal appeared next to Erza, his arm wrapped around his mates waist.

"I don't think you've considered her being a vampire, hm?"

Erza and Natsu looked at Jellal, shocked. Lucy quickly shook her head. She grew up with human parents, in a human mansion, surrounded by humans, she couldn't be a vampire.

Jellal smirked and kissed Erza's head "It's probable. Lucy doesn't smell like a normal human but I do pick up on a certain scent, a vampire scent. It's very faint but it's there." Erza thought for a moment, grabbing onto Jellal's hand. It'd explain her weird scent but Lucy doesn't have fangs nor does she live off of blood.

"She hangs out with Natsu everyday, do you think his scent rubbed off on her?"

Jellal shook his head. He opened his mouth to say something but Lucy cut him off "Hold on a second. You're saying I might be a vampire when both of my parents were human? That doesn't make sense!" Natsu slapped his hand over Lucy's mouth.

"Quiet princess, she's doing the look.."

The couple looked at Erza and shuddered as she had..the look. The look is a look of murder. The look she'll give you if you disobeyed her, interrupted her, hit her, anything that has to do with her.

Lucy quickly apologized to Jellal, making him sweatdrop. He rubbed Erza's back, answering Lucy's question "There was once a case when a vampire family hid as humans. When the married couple had their first child, they never told him about them being vampires."

Erza nodded, grabbing her phone "I shall call Mira, she may know something. She is a pure blood." Lucy's eyes widened

"Mira's a vampire too?! Is Lisanna and Elfman one too?!"

Natsu kissed Lucy's head, shaking his head "only Mira. Their mother was a vampire but their father was not. Mira must've gotten it from their mother." The blonde laid her head on Natsu's shoulder. This was all way too much for her.

Her best friends were vampires and now they're suggesting she's also a vampire. Natsu noticed the way she looked and he quickly stood up, picking Lucy up "I'm gonna take her home. I'll talk to you guys tomorrow, okay?"

Erza nodded and looked at Lucy "everything will be okay Lucy. We'll figure this out."

The blonde wasn't listening, she just laid her head on Natsu's shoulder. When Natsu carried her out of the room, she didn't see Cana. She assumed she walked home already.

Natsu sighed "it'll be okay Luce, I promise." His eyes turned red as he jumped out the window, flying his mate home.
