Chapter 5

Lucy's POV

I woke up to the sound of snoring. Of course I knew who it was, he's always in my room but that doesn't mean I was okay with it! I kicked Natsu off my bed, sighing "stop sneaking into my room at night! You were supposed to sleep on the couch! You didn't even lock my door again. Why do you-" Natsu covered my mouth, grinning.

"Good morning to you too." I puffed out my cheeks, moving his hand away "what did I tell you?"

"Yeah yeah, I'll lock your door next time."

"There won't be a next time!"

I sighed and stood up, stretching "school starts in an hour. Go home and get dressed." Natsu grabbed onto my waist, pulling me onto his lap. I looked into his eyes, not seeing the black orbs I was always used to, no. They were red.

I gulped nervously and grabbed onto his arms "Natsu..?" He just stared at me. I started to feel his hands move up onto my neck, then to my hair. I could feel my heart beating against my chest "What are you doing..?"

Natsu's eyes turned back to black and he looked at me, a light blush going onto his cheeks "s-sorry Luce.." I just looked him in his eyes.

"You've been acting weird lately.."

Natsu looked at me, confused. I swear I saw a bead of sweat roll down his face. He just shook his head "no, I haven't."

I nodded "yes, you have"

"No"

"Yes"

"No!"

"Yes!"

Natsu growled and pinned me down onto the bed "no, I haven't." I sighed, resting my hand on his cheek. I just couldn't understand him. He was acting so weird yet he called me a weirdo. Every time I'm near him, it's like he's scared of me.

"Are you..scared of me?"

Natsu looked at me, shocked "no! Of course not. What makes you say that?" I shrugged softly, caressing his cheek and seeing him flinch "that..you flinch when I touch you or even get near you. Are you hiding something from me?"

Natsu quickly shook his head but I could tell he was lying. I frowned "Natsu, I can tell when you're lying."

Natsu looked me in the eyes. Suddenly, he smashed his lips onto mine. My eyes widened but I slowly relaxed, closing my eyes. Natsu slowly pulled away, his hands in my hair. I blushed and hid my face "what did we just..?"

Natsu chuckled softly "I actually don't know..." I slowly moved my hands from my face, placing them on his cheeks "wanna test it out..? Yknow, just to be su-" Natsu smirked and kissed me again. I smiled into the kiss, moving my arms around his neck.

I quickly pulled away though, remembering school "w-we have school!" Natsu quickly got up "u-uh I'll be back! Bye Luce! Love ya!" Natsu jumped out my window. I blushed as I remember what he said "did he just say..I love you..?" I smiled softly.

Time skip:school.

Nobody's POV

Lucy walked to school with Natsu, his arm around her shoulder. People stared, I mean who wouldn't? The schools playboy that dated every girl was walking with his arm around the sweethearts shoulder. The two were whispering into each other's ears, smiling at each other.

Gray stared, smirking "yo flame-brain! Finally got your girl huh?" Natsu flicked him off, smirking "sure did!" Erza walked over to the couple, grabbing Natsu "you hurt her and I'll fuck you up. Got it?"

He quickly nodded "y-yes ma'am!" Lucy giggled and held Natsu's hand. Levy walked over and gasped "when did this happen?!" The bell rang. Lucy kissed Natsu's cheek "I gotta go, bye guys!" The blonde ran off to her class. Natsu smiled but growled when Gray dragged him away.

"You're gonna tell her, aren't you?"

Natsu nodded "I have to. It's so hard to keep it a secret from her! I know she'll keep my secret. Besides, I'll only tell her about me." Gray sighed but nodded. The pink haired idiot trusted Lucy and so, Gray and the others had to also.

"Just wait until Laxus hears about this." Gray smirked at Natsu "our boy got himself a girl."

Natsu smirked "and I love her."
