Chapter 18

Lucy squeezed Natsu's hand as they drove to her fathers mansion. To say she was nervous was an understatement. She was beyond nervous. It's been years since she went to that mansion and she always thought she'd never go back.

Natsu kissed her hand "it'll be okay, I won't let him hurt you." Lucy nodded, smiling slightly.

At the mansion.

Natsu pulled Lucy close and growled at any of the servants that looked at her. Lucy giggled and whispered in his ear "please don't scare them, they're the reason why I'm here." Natsu still growled but nodded. Lucy walked over to the servants "guys.."

They all ran over to her and hugged her, pushing Natsu away. He didn't like it but he held back the urge to kill all of them. Lucy hugged them back and smiled brightly "oh I've missed you all!"

One of the servants cupped her face "oh you're grown so much..your mother would be proud.." Lucy smiled softly.

"It's so nice seeing you all again-"

"Who's he?"

One of the servants pointed to Natsu. He fought back his glare and stuffed his hands into his pockets. Lucy walked over to him and held onto his arm "this is my boyfriend, Natsu." She kissed his cheek and turned her attention back to the servants.

Lucy's eyes widened as she saw one person she wished she didn't. When she was younger, her favorite servant had a child. She wanted to make her second mom happy so she tried to get along with the child. The child grew a crush on Lucy and he never left her alone. Lucy did not miss him, he was one of the reasons why she left.

Lucy sighed "Luka..nice to..see you." Natsu growled at him and wrapped his arm around Lucy's waist, pulling her close. He didn't like this guy and he had just met him.

Luka grabbed Lucy's hand and kissed it, smirking "it's great to see you Lucy." He glanced at Natsu and rolled his eyes "who's this pink haired freak?"

Natsu's eyes turned red. He was about to kill the guy but Lucy snatched her hand away from Luka and grabbed Natsu's "his hair is salmon and he's no freak, he's my wonderful boyfriend. You have no right to speak of him like that and if you do it again, I'll break your arm. Got it?"

She glared at Luka but he seemed unfazed, all he did was smirk "sure. Anyways, your father is asking for you."

Natsu's fangs extended and he bit down onto his lip, blood filling his mouth. Lucy squeezed his hand "I'm okay..I'm right here.." she whispered. She looked at Luka "I don't want to see him."

Luka shrugged and held out his arm "he isn't asking. Let's go, princess." Lucy sighed but nodded and started walking towards her fathers office with Natsu.

The pink haired vampire turned towards Luka and flipped him off then kept walking. Lucy giggled and let Natsu pull her closer "you're so childish."

"And you're a weirdo."

In Jude's office.

Lucy sighed as she looked at Jude "why did you call me here? I have no business with you."

"I know you don't but there's been a deal and it involves you. As I said at our last encounter, the business has been sinking and I needed money to get a jumpstart. I have found a way to get the money I've needed and that's for you to marry an heir to a very successful company." Lucy's eyes widened.

Natsu tried to leap at Jude but Lucy gripped his hand, signaling that she needed him. Natsu pulled Lucy closer.

Lucy shook her head "no, I won't. I will not be used just so you can make money. I'm not an object, I'm a person." Lucy turned around and started to walk out with Natsu.
