Chapter 22

Lucy giggled as Natsu tried to explain "so from what Wendy said, I get my power from the zodiacs?"

Natsu sighed and put his hands down, (he decided it was nice to use his hands to explain, it wasn't working out too well) nodding "yeah.." Wendy giggled and rubbed her brothers back. The younger girl was always better at explaining than her brother, probably because he never understood anything half the time.

Lucy got up from the tree branch she sat on, jumping down and closed her eyes, the stars returning and engulfing her once again. Wendy watched, excited to see which form she was about to take.

Wendy tilted her head when she didn't recognize the sign.

But Natsu did.

He grinned at Wendy's confusion and smirked proudly "Sagittarius. But why do you have a bow?"

Lucy shrugged and looked around, smirking as she saw a tree far away "Wen, can you go to that tree? I wanna see how this form works." Lucy had a guess on how the form worked but she wanted to impress Natsu.

Wendy smiled and changed into her bat form, flying towards the tree Lucy directed her to. When she changed into her human form, the tree was in pieces. She looked at Lucy to see her holding her bow up, smirking proudly.

Lucy didn't know she could do that, but she could pretend.

As Wendy flew back, she saw her brother hugging Lucy, spinning her around. Once Natsu turned to Wendy, he picked her up as well, holding the two close. Lucy rubbed Wendy's head, smiling with her fangs showing.

Natsu sighed as he had to ruin the moment "we should head back, we've been out for a while."

But Wendy didn't want to leave.

She didn't hang out with the new Lucy enough, she wanted to know what it was like to hunt with her since Natsu already knew. Wendy grabbed Lucy's hand as Natsu put them down "I'm gonna take her to hunt! And you can't change my mind." Wendy puffed out her cheeks. It was sort of her way to show Natsu that she meant what she said.

The pinkette sighed, nodding. He knew he couldn't get Wendy to change her mind when she puffed out her cheeks "I'll be with the boys, don't go too far away from the mansion, deal?"

Lucy nodded, smirking a devilish smirk. Wendy and Lucy jumped up, turning into their bat forms. Natsu watched the two fly off and prayed to Mavis they'd return safely.

Lucy looked around for something to eat when she saw a face she didn't want to see.

Sting Eucliffe.

She stopped flying as he spotted her with a smirk.

She looked around for Wendy but didn't see her. Suddenly, a bright light wrapped around her and dragged her down towards the blonde teen. The light squeezed her so tightly, she had to transform back to take a breath. Sting smirked as he looked at her face "I knew I smelt something. So you're a vampire now?"

Lucy didn't answer, she only glared at him. He rolled his eyes but still kept his smirk "I don't need you to answer but you seem pretty powerful for a fledgling. Unless you aren't one? I knew you weren't human the first time I met you-"

He stopped talking as he noticed her mark.

"Natsu already marked you? Ah that's too bad. Sadly, it'll have to go." Sting held his hand over Lucy's mark as his hand was engulfed in a white light. Lucy's eyes widened and she tried to get away from the grasp of the light.

In a flash, Lucy was dropped onto the ground as..something stood in front of her.

The thing growled "what are you doing harming one of fairy tail's vampires? We made a deal!"

Lucy's eyes widened as she saw the white hair "Mira.."

Sting shoved his hands into his pockets "you didn't hear? The deals off, she-devil."

Mira smirked, holding her claw up "then that gives me no reason to hold back." Mira ran at Sting but he quickly dodged, jumping on to a tree branch "I know I can't defeat a strong vampire like you-"

"Let's see if you can defeat a weaker one." Lucy smirked as stars engulfed her, blinding Sting. Mira quickly jumped out of the way so she wouldn't get blinded. She transformed back to her normal self, smiling as her fangs glistened.

When Sting could see, he was flown against a tree. He looked down to see a whip wrapped around his ankle "not bad, fledgling." Sting sliced the whip wrapped around his ankle and ran at Lucy, cutting her arm with his ability.

Mira grabbed Lucy and kicked Sting away, making sure he was thrown far away from them so she could explain "Sting's ability is light while his brother, Rogue, has the ability of shadows."

A beam of light shot towards the two, both of their eyes widening.

The light was stopped by a barrier formed by water.

Lucy sighed as she looked at her mark "Aquarius..Mira, can you go make sure Wendy is safe? I can't let anything happen to her."

Mira hesitated for a second but nodded, holding Lucy's shoulder "good luck, please be careful. Sting is a powerful vampire." Mira kissed Lucy's head softly then flew off in a search for Wendy.

Lucy jumped back as Sting landed in front of her, smirking.

"You can't defeat me, princess."

Lucy held out her hand as a water ball formed under it "I can try."

I had to add some sort of drama since I didn't want the story to be boring. Sting won't be a bad guy for long, I can promise you that
