Chapter 28

Gray held his ice sword at Lucy's neck, smirking proudly "y'know, I could get revenge for my hand." Gray pressed it harder against Lucy's neck, a small drop of blood falling down her neck. Lucy shrugged and kicked Gray away, jumping on top of him and holding her two swords against his neck "or I could make you lose your head and neck." Lucy smirked as her hair was put into two pigtails while her clothes turned into a kimono.

Gray rolled his eyes and pushed Lucy off of him. Ice lances headed towards Lucy and she quickly dodged. Gray squinted at her "Natsu has been training you huh?"

"Eh a little bit. When I fought Sting and Rogue, I watched their movements." Lucy ran at Gray and sliced up his arms.

Gray hissed and ran towards Lucy, only to be stopped by Natsu punching him in the jaw. Lucy smiled and jumped on Natsu's back "hey! How long were you watching us?"

Erza walked over to the two and sighed "the whole time. He wouldn't leave no matter how many times I told him it was just training."

Erza ordered Gray to train Lucy and that was the result. While they were investigating, Makarov gave them their own little place to stay where they could collect research and train each other.

Lucy giggled and kissed Natsu's cheek "I'm okay. Gray isn't a threat" Lucy teased the raven haired vampire. All he did was growl at her.

Erza rubbed her stomach "I'm pretty hungry. How about we go on a hunt?" Erza smiled at her little team and grabbed the training bag Gray had set down on the ground when he was training Lucy. Natsu sweatdropped and turned to Lucy "I don't think we had a choice.."

Erza appeared behind Natsu "problem, Natsu?"

Even though the pinkette was a ruthless vampire, he was always scared of the devil. Lucy giggled as she saw Natsu's face. Lucy turned to Erza and fidgeted with her hands "actually..I wanted to go back and hang out with the girls. I can't just talk to them over the phone, it's not the same" Lucy whined and grabbed Erza's hands "I know you want to see them two!"

Erza sighed and shook her head "Lucy, you know we can't. We have a job to do and-"

"Jellal's there."

Erza's eyes widened and she quickly ran inside, packed a bag of things that she would need, and zoomed back to the girl "go pack essentials! We have places to go and people to see!"

Lucy grinned and ran inside to get her stuff. Natsu and Gray looked at each other.

"How in the hell-" Natsu started but was cut off by the red headed vampire.

"Boys! Go get your bags before I get them and shove them-"

"Aye sir!"

The boys raced into the house, frantically trying to find their bags. Erza smirked with a look of satisfaction on her face as she headed towards the car.

Time skip.

Lucy rubbed Natsu's back as he leaned out the window, almost throwing up all the blood he drank. Gray snickered but stopped when Erza hit him on the head "stop it Gray, and where are your pants?!"

Gray looked down and groaned "I think I left them back at the house.." Lucy sighed and stars appeared in front of him, dropping pants onto his lap. Lucy smiled "a gift from the stars, my friend."

Natsu sighed and laid his head on Lucy's lap "we've been gone for one day, why do we have to go back already?" Natsu groaned and Lucy flicked him on the head "we miss our friends, Natsu. Just lay down and go to sleep"

Erza chuckled and sped down the road. Gray gripped onto his seat.

It was going to be a long ride.

Lucy quickly got out of the car and grabbed her bag, turning to her friends "I'll be at my apartment. Erza, I'll call you and then we can head over to Cana's house." Lucy smiled and ran to her house, not bothering to hear her friends answer.

Natsu stared "I'll go with her. Adios, fellow vampires" Natsu ran towards Lucy's house, smirking as he came up with a plan.

He was gonna scare the living hell out of her.

Cana groaned and looked at Wendy "there's nothing to do today. Wait, you did eat right?" Cana sat up and looked at the smaller girl. Wendy set down her sketchbook and nodded at Cana, smiling "yeah, I did. You don't have to worry about me, Cana. I don't always need Natsu" Wendy teased the girl.

"Actually, I've never asked before. How old are you, Wendy?" Cana sat with her legs crossed and leaned towards Wendy.

"Ah! I'm 112 but I just say twelve!" Wendy grinned at Cana while the alcoholic looked at her with a surprised expression. Wendy tilted her head to the side "what's-"

"I'm home!"

Natsu ran into the room and smiled, picking up his little sister. Wendy wrapped her arms around his neck and smiled "hey Natsu! Welcome back home!" Wendy jumped down from his arms and looked up at him "did you finish what you needed to?"

Natsu shook his head "Lucy convinced Erza that we should all head back even though we weren't there for long. By the way, Lucy's coming over to pick you two up so you can hang out with the girls" Natsu looked at Cana then back to Wendy.

Cana smirked and stood up "well let's get ready Wendy! I can tell it's gonna be a wild ride" the brunette sipped the beer in her hand (no one knows where the hell she got it from but it's okay). Natsu sweat dropped but turned his attention back to Wendy "make sure you keep the humans safe. Erza will be hanging out with Jellal so you and Lucy will be at fault if they're hurt."

Wendy raised her eyebrow and placed her hands on her hips "Natsu, stop using words you know you don't understand. Besides, I'm a healer! No one will get hurt on my watch." Wendy smiled at her older brother and fist bumped him.

Natsu grinned and ruffled Wendy's hair "alright! I'm trustin' ya. I'll be with the boys so give me a call if you need me to save your asses."

Wendy rolled her eyes.

"Trust me, you won't be saving anyone today Natsu."
