Chapter 7

There was a moment of silence before Lucy started giggling. Natsu looked at her, confused. He tells her his biggest secret and she..laughs? The giggles turned into fits of laughter. Natsu grabbed onto her arms "Luce?"

"Haha! That was a nice joke but you should probably tell me the truth now. So, what did you really need to say?" Lucy wiped away little tears in her eyes. Natsu sighed.

"I am telling you the truth. I'm a vampire Luce."

The blonde shook her head "no Natsu..those aren't real..you're not supposed to lie to me." Lucy closed her eyes.

Natsu let his fangs extend and he grabbed onto Lucy's neck, slightly scraping his fangs against it but never biting into it. Lucy's eyes shot open "N-Natsu?!"

The pinkette pulled away, showing her his fangs "now do you believe me?" Lucy held onto her neck. It didn't hurt, she just never thought her beloved Natsu would be a vampire.

Lucy stared at him, her eyes wide "Natsu..when did you..?" The pinkette held her hands.

"I'm a pure blood. I was born as a vampire. Luce, you can't tell anyone. They'll try to kill me. Promise me you won't tell." Lucy looked down at the twos hands. Lucy loved Natsu, she'd never want him to get hurt.

"I promise Natsu.."

The pinkette retracted his fangs then kissed her. Lucy kissed back, wrapping her arms around Natsu's neck.

Natsu pulled away "any questions princess?" Lucy nodded and laid her head on Natsu's shoulder "Yeah..what can you do as a vampire?"

Natsu thought for a second "well, I can light shit on fire. Light myself on fire. Every vampire has different abilities. Mine is fire." Lucy nodded slowly, trying to take in all the new information. It was all..new to her. She remembers her mother telling her stories about vampires but they were always fictional.

"Um..can you fly?"

Natsu nodded, standing up. He gently pushed off the ground and floated on his back, his arms going behind his head.

Lucy giggled when Natsu picked her up. The pinkette flew around the roof with her in his arms. Lucy wrapped her arms around his neck as he wrapped his arms around her waist "what else can you do Natsu?"

"Just the basics. Super speed. Enhanced hearing and smell. I can wipe people's memory and feel peoples emotions. Like right now, you're feeling loved." Natsu smiled at her, slowly floating back down onto the ground. When Lucy's feet touched the ground, she grabbed onto Natsu to make sure she didn't fall.

Natsu chuckled, holding onto her. Lucy looked at her vampire "about wiping peoples memories, have you ever done that to me?" Natsu shook his head, rubbing her back "no. I could never use my abilities on you. Hell, I don't want to even feed off of you..even though your blood smells really sweet.."

Lucy blushed as Natsu kissed her neck. The blonde cupped his face "I want you to. If you ever get hungry, you can feed off of me." Natsu shook his head "no. I won't. I promised myself I wouldn't."

Lucy kissed him "I'm letting you Natsu." The pinkette shook his head, kissing her head. The roof door opened and in walked Jellal. Natsu ran to him, first bumping him "long time no see man!"

Jellal smirked "hey Natsu. Seems like you've found your mate." The pinkette hit Jellal on the shoulder, glaring at him "she doesn't know about mates.."

Lucy walked over, grabbing Natsu's hand "hey Jellal!" The blue haired guy smiled, waving at the blonde "so, now that you know. Erza and I would like to invite you two over. Cana will also be there."

Lucy thought for a moment "I don't think I'm doing anything, I'll be there!" The bell rang and Lucy tensed up "I forgot! I have to walk with Lis to class, bye guys!" The blonde kissed Natsu and ran off.

The pinkette looked at Jellal "you aren't planning on drinking from Lucy..right?" Jellal nodded "I would never. She's a friend. Besides, Erza would kill me."

Natsu chuckled "I can't believe Erza's ability is armor.."

Jellal smirked "that's my girl. My armor girl.." Natsu laughed and grabbed Jellal's hand, lighting his own on fire "I've controlled it."

Jellal patted his back "good job Natsu. What about Lucy? I can tell she's not..normal." Natsu sighed, nodding slowly. Ever since Natsu met Lucy, he could tell she was different. She never smelled like a normal human. It was a mix between human and..something else. He never found out what the something else is.

Natsu looked towards the roof door "I don't know. I know she's not normal but she doesn't show any signs of her being anything other than a human. But today, I saw fang marks on her neck..Sting is after my Luce."

Jellal's eyes widened "You'll kill Sting when mating season happens. You need to claim Lucy as your mate..but you haven't told her about it, have you?" Natsu shook his head "no, I haven't"

Jellal placed a hand on Natsu's shoulder "you have to tell her about it." The pinkette looked at Jellal.

"This is easier for you since Erza is a vampire! She knew all about this but Luce..she's just learning about this. I'll tell her when I think she's ready." Natsu nodded while he was talking, like he was agreeing with his own plan.

The blue haired vampire stared at Natsu "and when do you think that'll be? Mating season is in a month."

"It'll be when I think she's ready. Even if it's during mating season."

Erza appeared next to them, her arms around Jellal's neck "hiya boys. Whatcha talking about?"

"N-nothing!" Natsu quickly said. If Erza found out he told Lucy about him being a vampire, she'd kill him.

Jellal smirked "we're trying to figure out how Sting found out about Lucy and fed from her." Erza's eyes darkened until they became a dark shade of red "Sting fed from Lucy?"

Natsu nodded "Lucy didn't even notice so he must've did it while she was sleeping." Erza growled, cracking her knuckles "Makarov agreed with their principal that our vampires wouldn't hurt the humans in their school if they didn't harm ours."

Natsu smirked, small flames appearing around his hands "is there gonna be a fight?"

Erza sighed, summoning a dagger and putting it into her pocket "maybe, just keep a look out for any of Sabertooths vampires. Oh and protect Lucy at all costs. Her blood is very sweet and strong."

Natsu put his fists together "I'll protect her with my life."
