Chapter 16

Lucy tapped Natsu's shoulder a few minutes after he started drinking. He pulled away and stared into Lucy's eyes and kissed her softly, holding her close. Lucy wrapped her arms around his neck and played with his soft, pi-salmon hair. Natsu pulled away as he remembered something.

"Wendy wanted to know if you'd like to come over tomorrow to bake cookies, she can't stop talking about you." Lucy giggled as she thought of Wendy's face. Natsu's little sister saw Lucy as a motherly figure or a sister to her. The two loved each other very much but they never got to hang out since Lucy was in high school while she was in middle school.

Lucy nodded excitedly "of course! Since tomorrow is Saturday, I'll come over at 8 and spend the night, is that okay?" Natsu nodded and smiled "it's perfect. I'll see you tomorrow, princess." He kissed Lucy's head and opened the window, jumping out. Lucy sighed happily and rubbed Plue's head as he brushed against her leg.

Lucy smiled to herself. This would be the perfect time to talk to Natsu about her whole father thing. Since he came over that day, she was thinking about going back to the mansion just to make sure the workers were okay and her mothers grave was still intact. She felt like she needed to go back there, like it was her job to.

But she knew Natsu wouldn't let her go.

She had to convince him.

Time skip: Next Day at 8pm.

Lucy picked up her bag and walked over to Natsu's house, well more like mansion. She walked up the steps and knocked on the door.

Wendy's ears twitched as she heard the soft knock. She sniffed the air and smelled the scent that she loved.

Lucy's scent.

She ran down from her room and to the door at inhuman speed, (probably because she's not human..) opening the door as fast as she can. She smiled and hugged the blonde girl "Hey Lucy!"

Lucy hugged back and smiled, running her fingers through Wendy's blue hair "Hey Wen! I've missed you so much!"

Natsu smiled and leaned on the door frame "Hey Wendy, that's my girlfriend ya know." Wendy giggled and let go, standing beside Natsu. Lucy walked in and gasped when she saw all the ingredients they had to make cookies.

Lucy turned to Wendy, her eyes as big as light bulbs "are we making cookies for your whole school?!"

Wendy giggled and grabbed Lucy's hand "you really are smart Lu! It's for a fundraiser I'm doing, maybe I can score some blood while I'm at it." Wendy gave Lucy a wink which made the older girl laugh.

"You're just like your brother."

Wendy gasped "that's insulting!"

Natsu ruffled her hair "damn ya little brat, didn't think you despised me that much." He joked. Lucy walked over to the kitchen and started to take out the flour when it was snatched from her hands and poured all over her.

Natsu laughed at her face, he laughed so hard, he had to clutch his stomach. Lucy looked completely and utterly shocked but when she came to, she jumped on Natsu and ruined his shirt. She grabbed an egg and pulled Wendy close, cracking it in her hair. Wendy gasped and laughed, jumping on the two.

Natsu picked them up and spun them around, making the girls laugh hysterically. Wendy placed a piece of butter in Natsu's hair causing the pinkette to put Lucy on his back and chase Wendy around the house. Lucy laughed and laid her head on Natsu's shoulder, reaching out to grab Wendy.

Natsu finally caught up with his baby sister and picked her up, jumping into the bed. Lucy climbed from beneath him and crawled onto his chest next to Wendy. Natsu leaned down and brushed his lips against Lucy's, pulling her closer.

Wendy gagged and giggled as Natsu tickled her. They looked like a family. Igneel peaked in and smiled at Grandeeney "Lucy is perfect for him..but tomorrow starts mating season and she hasn't found out her true potential." Igneel knew what Lucy was but he promised Layla he'd let her figure it out.

Layla was a vampire but Jude was not. Since Lucy had a vampire mom but human dad, she was a hybrid.

Grandeeney giggled and grabbed her husbands hand "it'll be okay, I have a feeling she will soon." Igneel kissed her head, placing his finger on her wedding ring.

They were all a family and they couldn't be happier.
