Chapter 26

Natsu was beyond jealous at this point. His girlfriend was ignoring him like he wasn't there, at all and he had enough. The three already finished their hunt so why were the girls still talking? Besides, she was from the enemy school. THE ENEMY. Natsu just didn't understand it.

Lucy looked at him and sighed, grabbing his hand "my boyfriend is really jealous right now, perks of being his mate. I'll see you around, Yukino!" Lucy smiled at the girl and waved before dragging Natsu away.

Yukino waved back slowly and rubbed the back of her neck, starting to walk home.

Natsu groaned and picked Lucy up, kissing her head "why did you ignore me? And you just noticed that I was feeling jealous!" Natsu pouted but Lucy just giggled, wrapping her arms around Natsu's neck "no, I knew how you were feeling but Yukino and I have the same ability except she only has three forms. My ability is rare, right? She might be the only person I meet that has the same ability."

Natsu sighed and jumped up, landing a tree branch. He held Lucy close and spun her around. Lucy giggled and laid her head on his shoulder as stars circled them, lifting them into the air.

Lucy let go of Natsu and started dancing on the stars, smiling as she transformed into her Leo form. Natsu watched in awe, laying on a pile of stars as he watched Lucy.

The show quickly ended as someone shot the stars and made them disappear.

Lucy jumped up and landed on a tree branch, growling. Natsu landed next to her, wrapping an arm around her waist "I have to get you home-"

"No way. Someone wants to attack me, fine. I'll play their game." Lucy jumped off the tree branch, stars engulfing her. Natsu sighed "she's still going through her phase..damnit." Natsu jumped down after her.

Lucy held up two swords and pointed them at the person as she was transformed, hissing at them "why did you shoot the stars?! I was on those!" Lucy ran towards the person but stopped when she saw who it was.

"Brandish.."

The green haired girl smiled and hugged the blonde "hey..long time no see huh? Still as cute as ever" Brandish squeezed Lucy's cheeks and made her giggle. Natsu pushed Lucy away from Brandish and hissed, lighting his fists on fire "stay away from my mate."

Lucy sighed and placed her hand on Natsu's shoulder when she turned back to her normal clothes "Please calm down.."

Brandish glared at Natsu and sighed "that was a long time ago, Natsu. Get over it. We disbanded so I won't be any trouble." Brandish wrapped her arm around Lucy, pulled her close "I'd never hurt Lucy."

Natsu rolled his eyes and flicked her off "you expect me to get over it?! You hurt my friends!"

Lucy cupped Natsu's face and kissed him slowly and softly. She honestly just wanted him to stop talking for a little bit. Lucy pulled away and ran her fingers through his hair "calm down. I trust Brandish, okay?"

The pinkette growled at Brandish but nodded to Lucy, placing his hand on her waist. Brandish hugged Lucy and smiled "I'm glad you're happy, even if it's with a pink haired idiot."

Natsu growled and lit his fist on fire. Lucy giggled and nodded "I'll see you around?"

"Yeah, goodbye Lucy!"

Lucy smiled and waved goodbye. She grabbed Natsu's hand, dragging him off "you okay?"

Natsu hugged her, placing his hand in her hair "no. How do you trust people so easily? They were once our enemy, Luce" Natsu pulled away from her and looked into her brown eyes. Lucy sighed and placed her hand on his cheek "I know you're all about fighting but like you said, they were once our enemy. It's easier to just try to make nice with people other than wanting to fight them every chance you get, Natsu."

The pink haired vampire scoffed and rolled his eyes "says the person that wanted to kill Brandish for shooting her stars." Natsu smirked as Lucy crossed her arms.

"I'm going through a phase, you're not."

"I'm always going through a phase"

"Yeah, it's an idiot phase except you're always like that."

Natsu frowned and pouted "that's mean Luce." Natsu laid his head on Lucy's shoulder as Lucy wrapped her arms around his neck "sorry Natsu, it's just my fledgling phase.." Lucy sighed and looked down at the ground.

"When is it over?"

Natsu rubbed her back "soo-Ice princess, why the fuck are you spying on us?"

Gray sighed and stepped out from behind the tree "I didn't want to interrupt, ash for brains. Anyways, Mira and Erza have big news that they need you two for so they sent me to get you."

Natsu immediately froze and gripped onto Lucy. The blonde sighed and smiled at Gray "thanks, we'll head over there now."

Gray nodded and started to walk off.

Then he stopped and turned towards the couple.

"Yo Natsu, use protection by the way."

Natsu flicked him off while Lucy ran at him, holding two katanas "I'm going to kill you, again!" Lucy shouted and ran after him at full speed. Natsu smirked as he saw the two vampires running as he joined them, chuckling as he heard Gray's screams.
