Ava

Iroh and I were enjoying a nice cup of tea. It had been a long day and Zuko was finally taking some time to meditate. Iroh and I's conversation went in all different directions, from how to make the proper tea, to the spirit world. Iroh seemed to have great knowledge about the latter but I didn't push. I knew about the majority of that anyways.

Mid conversation about dragons, a soldier came up to Iroh, knelt, and whispered something in Iroh's ear. He took out a map and gave it to Iroh before leaving. Iroh opened the map and his face fell.

"What is it Iroh?" I get up, grab my tea and move over to his side and look down at the map. There were red lines drawn all across the map moving left and right, but always going north.

"The avatar has been sighted all over the world but we cannot seem to track him." Iroh looked down the map trying to figure out a pattern before he paled. "We will have to tell Prince Zuko." My face went pale as well before I shrugged.

"Meh, that's a you problem. Princey will get over it." I make my way over to my backpack and take a sip of my tea.

"I was thinking that you could do it." I sip out my tea and turned to look at him. The candles in the room died down after my outburst. Iroh pulls out his fan.

"I'm sorry what?"

"I was thinking that you could tell Prince Zuko. I mean maybe he would go easier on you because you are a girl?" It almost sounded like a question the way he phrased it. Like he was trying to come up with an excuse to get me to do it. "I will also give you basic firebending lessons after we eat lunch." My face lit up.

"How about I go with you when you tell him and if things get out of hand I will set in?" I smile.

"Okay..." Iroh reluctantly agrees. I hold out my hand getting ready for him to shake. He looks at it confused. I sigh and withdraw my hand.

"Let's just go."

The room was lit by nothing but a few candles Zuko sat criss-cross-apple-sauce on the floor in front of the candles. With each inhale the flames on the candle shrunk, and with each exhale they grew. "The only reason you should be interrupting me is if you have news about the Avatar." I chuckle dryly.

"Well, there is news, Prince Zuko, but you might not like it. Don't get too upset." Iroh clutches the map.

"Uncle, you taught me that keeping a level head is a sign of a great leader. Now whatever you have to say, I'm sure that I can take it." I resisted the urge to laugh.

"Okay, then... we have no idea where he is." Iroh puts his arms down, only holding the map in one hand.

"What!?!" The four candles in front of Zuko burst into flames and melted. Zuko stands and looks at Iroh and I. Iroh pulls out a fan.

"You really should open a window in here." Iroh begins to fan himself.

"Give me the map!" Zuko snatches the map out of Iroh's hands. He opens it and begins to study it.

"There have been multiple sightings of the Avatar, but he is impossible to track down." Iroh keeps fanning himself.

"How am I gonna find him, Uncle? He is clearly a master of evasive maneuvering." Zuko sounds defeated but I can't help but slap a hand to my mouth to stop from laughing. It isn't long before the dam breaks. I burst out laughing and also fall to my knees. It is a long time before I sober up.

"Ah, that's good. I'm good." I take a deep breath and look up.

"What was so funny?" Zuko asks me standing tall. His robe parts and I can see his exposed chest. I blush and look at his face.
