"So travelers, the next time you think you hear a strange large bird talking, take a closer look, it might not be a giant parrot, but a flying man! A member of a secret group of air walkers who laugh at gravity and laugh at those bound to the earth by it!" I scoff at the term 'air walker.' It's hard to imagine that Aang and I are the only airbenders left and even saying that I was an Airbender was a stretch.
Aang was beaming with happiness loving to sit down and hear the stories of his people. These men, on the other hand, were total shams. They were dressed like they were from the north pole and it was only like 40 degrees out. Their story was beautiful though and I wanted them to be able to keep sharing them.
"Aren't Airbender stories the best?" Aang beamed to us. Sokka looked board out of his mind.
"Was it realistic? Was that how it was back then?" Katara asks clearly the only one intrigued by this. I look up from Bai who wanted nothing more than attention.
"I laugh at gravity all the time. Haha! Gravity." Aang smiles. I can feel a slight warm feeling wash over me. The storyteller comes around and shakes his hat.
"Jingle, jingle!" He says looking at Sokka. Sokka digs through his pockets only to find dirt, a few worms, and some trash.
"Sorry..." Sokka apologizes with a voice crack. It is extremely hard to keep in my laughs in. I pull out my bag and place two silver coins in the hat.
"Why thank you, young lady!" The man walked back to his great-grandpappy. Aang goes to go talk to him.

"We're almost at the Northern Air Temple! This is where they had the championships for sky bison polo." Aang sounded excited and seemed to have recovered from my crying. I look up from my book to see him smiling.
"Do you think we'll really find airbenders?" Katara said leaning back against the saddle next to her brother.
"You want me to be like you, or totally honest?" Sokka was whittling some weird bever thing.
Katara folded her arms, "Are you saying I'm a liar?"
"I'm saying you're an optimist. The same thing basically." Sokka momentarily stops whittling to look at Katara. I take too deep on an inhale and begin coughing. I clutch onto my throat. Katara crawls over to my hand hands me her water skin. I begin drinking trying to soothe my throat.
"Hey guys, look at this!" Aang calls. I crawl up beside him and look out into the distance. I see the northern air temple. In the show, it was something to marvel at, but in real life, it was something else. There are people flying all around the air temple. I look over to see Aang's smile drop into a frown. My smile disappears right after.
"Huh! They really are airbenders!" Katara exclaims excitedly. I turn around and look at her a frown on my face and tears threatening to spill.
Aang leans back and crosses his arms, "No, they're not."
"What do you mean they're not? Those guys are flying!" Sokka calls from the back of Appa Momo perched on his head.
"Gliding maybe, but not flying. You can tell by the way they move. They're not airbending. Those people have no spirit." Aang bearly has time to finish his sentence when a kid with one of the gliders flew over the top of us. Katara and Sokka duck down to avoid being hit. He starts to laugh as he glides away.
"I don't know, Aang. That kid seems pretty spirited!" Katara called pointing up at the kid, whom I know to be Teo. Teo keeps flying around Appa. I feel a devious feeling hit me like a brick as Aang grabs his glider and jumps off Appa. A bunch of other people on gliders surrounded Appa. He freaked out when one to too close to his face and reared up on his hind two legs while still in the air, knocking Katara back.
