Ava
"Sailing into Fire Nation waters... of all the foolish things you have done in your 16 years, Prince Zuko, this is the most foolish." Iroh stands tall on the boat. Zuko gazes through a telescope and one soldier stands beside us.
"I have no choice, Uncle." Zuko doesn't move.
"Have you completely forgotten that the Fire Lord banished you?!?!?" Iroh yells. His face quickly changes to a concerned look. "What if you're caught?"
Zuko turns away from the telescope, "I'm chasing the Avatar. My father will understand why I'm returning home."
"You give him too much credit. My brother is not the understanding type." Zuko turns back to the telescope ignoring Iroh's remark. I give a worried look to Iroh, I have no idea how my being here will affect the outcome of anything.
"There they are! Helmsman, full steam ahead!" I look up and see a single white blob in the sky. My eyes go wide. Zuko and his men load a giant rock onto the catapult. Then one soldier pours black steaming goop onto the rock.
"Really, Prince Zuko, couldn't you shoot them down with something more fragrant?" Iroh fans himself.
"Hmm smells like hot springs... Reminds me of home..." I smile shortly, it is quickly interrupted when Zuko lights the rock. I slowly back up press against the metal wall.
Zuko holds up one arm, "On my mark.........Fire!" A rope is cut releasing the flaming ball right at Appa.
The fireball misses them bearly. I sigh and look across the horizon only to see a terrifying sight. I move from the wall and pull on Zuko's sleeve. "Zuko..." I point out directly at the massive boats.
"A blockade!" The boats were no doubly much larger then I ever imagined. In the show, they were a cartoon but now it was real metal and even at this far of a distance I could tell each and every imperfection.
"Technically you are still in Earth Kingdom waters. Turn back now and they cannot arrest you." Iroh rubs his beard. Zuko glairs at his uncle but I give him a pleading look. All three of us move in front of the catapult.
"He's not turning around!" Zuko tells us like it is some type of evidence.
"He's in the sky Zuko he can go over! We have to go through!" I yell at him and point at Appa as a point.
"Technically you are still in Earth Kingdom waters. Turn back now and they cannot arrest you. Don't forget Zhao knows that Ava was acquainted with the Avatar. If we are caught she will be taken to prison!" My eyes go wide.
"I'm sorry Uncle, Ava..." Zuko turns to the helmsmen, "Run the blockade." Iroh and I look at each other in fear. I see the blockade get closer and the blazing glow of thousands of fireballs. All at once they get released.
"In the name of the father the son and the holy spirit. Amen." I touch my forehead, my chest, then both my shoulders. I watch as the fireballs descend to the ground rapidly. I could hear the air moving around them, I could feel the panic rise in my chest. Then they all come crashing down.
Several fireballs land around us causing massive waves to crash into the side of the ship. Water sprays onto the deck of the ship and made me grab onto the railing of the ship. These waves keep crashing into the ship before one fireball catches its unintentional target and hits the back of the ship. Everyone braces themselves onto some part of the ship. "Prince Zuko, the engines are damaged! We need to stop and make repairs!" The engine master yells to Zuko. Zuko turns around and looks at him.
Zuko turns back around, "Do not stop this ship."
"We're on a collision course!" Iroh yells.
"Zuko we're gonna die!" I yell at him from the side of the ship.
