Chapter Six

Jungkook's heart started beating rapidly in fear. Waking up in an unfamiliar place and seeing Rina, out of all people why Rina. He opened his pouty lips but closed them as he couldn't muster up the courage to actually say something. "Look," Rina rolled her eyes but he could tell it was forced, he saw her roll her eyes too many times to the point where he knew it like the back of his hand. "I'm sorry, okay?" His eyes widened, starting to doubt his own ears. Did he hear right? Yeah, but did he believe it? No, not really.

Rina was starting to get annoyed by the fact that the boy wasn't speaking. Only opening and closing his mouth like a fish while his doe eyes were almost falling out of his skull of how wide they were. "Kay, now that that's settled. The fuck were you thinking?!" She let herself yell at him, her heart starting to lightly break at the sight of him flinching- it didn't fill with joy anymore and it made her want to rip it out of her chest. 

"Y-you told- w-i don't know..," Jungkook stuttered, mentally slapping himself for it. "Can you stop stuttering already? It's getting annoying, did your parent not teach you how to talk properly?" Rina spat, scowling at the boy in front who was frowning. The thought of his parents made the inside of his skin feel like ants inhabited it. He took a deep breath, "I'll try..," it took all of him to not stutter that out as well, it wasn't his habit but it was out of fear he didn't know why he had. Rina was just a girl, yeah a mean one, but still a girl- he was older and taller than her- at least he thought- so why would he be scared of her? Rina clapped as he didn't stutter. "Good job, now talk like that or I'll push you off of that bridge." She didn't mean it, but how can she just suddenly start being nice to him? It might make him feel like she's plotting something. She also feels like she can't just start warming up to the boy after 2 years of messing with him, it was like when you're angry but want to stop and you don't know how? In a similar way, Rina felt like that.

Jungkook gulped, reminded at his failed attempt and he felt his cheeks heat up with embarrassment. "W-," He shook his head to stop the stutter, "Why did you stop me?" He avoided landing his eyes on her. He felt that if he did, he would want to bury himself in the blankets and suffocate. "I didn't know it was you." Rina shrugged, knowing all to well that the answer hurt him. She then took a deep breath, "even if I did, I'd still..," she rolled her eyes again, "I'd still save you." 

Blood rushed to Jungkook's cheeks upon hearing the words that left Rina's mouth as he finally covered his face with the blanket. Rina couldn't help but to burst into a small smile, finding Jungkook's action cute but quickly slapping herself. I'm supposed to dislike him, she thought. 

"Thank you." Jungkook mumbled from underneath the blankets as Rina just hummed in response, too busy cursing at her heart.
