Chapter Twenty-six

The nurse walked in, eyes burning into the paper she held in her hands. Rina took the time to hop to her feet- taking the tiny tube out of Jungkook's arm while doing so. Jungkook winced, rubbing the spot as if it's going to ease the sting. He shot a rather playful glare towards the girl that already worked her way on throwing the now-empty pack of blood into the bin. Rina's shoulders jumped along with Jungkook once the nurse let out a surprised yell. "Oh my God! You scared me. What are you doing here?" The nurse let the paper fall on her desk before making her way towards Jungkook. The two panicked, "We were tired and took a nap." She lied, narrowing her eyes at Jungkook who coughed before agreeing. "Yup, it's been a stressful morning." He cleared his throat while getting up. The nurse however lightly pushed his shoulders back, her eyes going wide as she looked at his face. "What happened to your face?" She questioned, arms crossing over her chest before looking over to Rina.

"Whoopise?" Rina nervously chuckled, "He scared me a few days ago so I started hitting him out of instinct." Rina shrugged, another lie just sliding out of her mouth. The nurse hummed while nodding, "violent." The nurse soon after shooed them out. The two ran across the hallway before the nurse could call them back for all the misplaced things.

Completely forgetting about school, they ran out, hands somehow managed to tangle together. Giggling, they came to a stop a few corners from the school. Jungkook's chest heaved up and down as he took quick, panting, breaths while on the other Rina was having the time of her long life. "Imagine her chasing after us." She giggled out, gasping as a reaction to her sentence. Jungkook vigorously shook his head, "I'd die."

The two spent the rest of the day together. Going back to school for their bags that they forgot at some point.

Friday finally came, Jungkook and Rina occupied with trying to match their steps together as they walked. Their hands were clutching each other's tightly- it kind of became a habit and they were kind of aware but not saying anything about it. The entire week Jungkook was begging Rina to drink from him again- which she got annoyed at and really wanted to kill him so she agreed- and the whole scenario from Monday repeated throughout the week.

"Shall I give you my wrist?" Jungkook chuckled at his choice of words and took a bite since they were in the cafeteria once again. Rina shook her head but knew that she'll end up risking his life again. "Why not? I'm tasty as fuck." He bragged, taking his marked wrist and placing a peck on it. Rina shook her head, trying to forget the smell and the taste of his blood. She loved any A that she tried in her whole like but his- his somehow tasted ten billion times better, as if it's a completely new and different type of blood and she loved it. "No." She shook her head once again and Jungkook's shoulders slumped.

"Rina!" A voice echoed through the cafeteria and the girl turned to the voice calling her. A smile gracing her lips as she laid her eyes upon her favourite professor. "Namj- Mr.Kim, hello." She contained her excitement as Mr.Kim neared their table and passed a pack of blood her way, "good grades." He coughed, thinking Jungkook still doesn't know anything. "He knows," Rina giggled as she showed Jungkook's marked wrist to their professor. His eyes went wide, "you didn't." Rina shook her head, "No! I was just thirsty." She waved her hands in front of her face as Mr.Kim released a relieved sigh.

Once he left, Rina excitedly poked a straw through and started happily drinking. "Hey, can I try?" Jungkook nudged her elbow with his. Rina almost spat the blood out of her mouth. "The hell- I mean sure?" She corrected herself as a thought of Jungkook's reaction crossed her mind and handed him the pack that was less than a half full.

Jungkook took a careful sip, his face morphing into a disgust then a questioning. So he took another sip before nodding to himself, "yeah, it's gross." Rina bursted into laughter as she for a second, only a second, thought he actually, maybe, liked it.
