Chapter Twenty-eight
"Yeah, sure." Rina shrugged, trying to seem cool but inside she was about to burst. Jungkook's shoulder slumped upon her rather unenthusiastic answer. " You don't have to if you don't wanna." He pouted, about to release his hand from his but didn't get to since Rina tightened her hold.
"Yes! Oh my God! Finally you asked, you idiot!" Rina giggled as she let the excitement and happiness burst, wrapping her arms around Jungkook's neck and jumping to wrap her legs around his waist. Taken aback, Jungkook first stumbled back, but the arch kept his from falling back as he bumped his back into it, and once the realization washed upon him he tightly squeezed the girl into a hug. "I think I'm gonna cry." Jungkook mumbled into her neck. Rina giggled at his words, not taking it seriously until she felt a wet drop on her shoulder. Jungkook was too happy he literally cried, which made Rina cry later.

"I swear I won't cry at our wedding like that." Jungkook joked, wiping his puffy eyes in front of his apartment. Rina pushed his shoulder with a laugh, "I don't want to be the only one!" Jungkook put his hands up to surrender after recieving a couple of hits, "okay, okay! I'll cry!"
Their laughter soon died down once again. Rina pulled him into a hug after her eyes landed on the window that was located on the 3rd floor. "Call me if something happens, okay?" She reminded with a whisper into his ear. He hummed while nodding, not wanting to let go. But they did anyways, Rina placed a peck on Jungkook's cheek before waving him off. Jungkook walked into his apartment, turning every few seconds to look at his girlfriend waving at him- it made him smile.

Jungkook received more than usual- he didn't know why nor what happened but as soon as he opened the doors his body was flung to the wall with his father spitting in his face. Words so loud that he couldn't pick up what he said, or it was because of his slurred speech from alchohol. His head was banged against the wall numerous times before his legs gave out and his body was met with the floor as soon as his father released the tight grip he had on him. "Honey! Date?" His father yelled for his wife who laughed- it wasn't a cute nor a normal laugh, it sounded psychotic- like the one you hear in horror films that made your heart stop and whole body shiver in terror. "Let me just heat up my straightener." Jungkook heard his mom answer from the bathroom before appearing right next to his father, a heated straightener in her hand and a drunk, wicked smile playing on her lips. Jungkook shook his head, starting to beg but turning into a stuttering mess which only amused his parents.

"What's that?" Rina questioned as she pointed towards a burn mark on Jungkook's arm. "Tried cooking." He lied, voice hoarse and almost gone, while nibbling on his lip as the memory haunted him. He was surprised and disappointed by the fact that his neighbors didn't call the police or tried helping- his screams and yells for help were surely heard to the other side of the town. "Should I believe you?" He bobbed his head as a yes at Rina's question. The reason he didn't call her was because he was terrified about what she would do, especially when the straightener was still pretty heated and his parents were in the same place, and because when he woke up she was already waiting in front of his apartment.
Rina nodded after his quiet answer, not believing a thing. There was no way that it was from cooking- it was too big and she noticed a couple of more on different parts of his body throughout the day. But didn't say anything- she only reminded him to call.
