Chapter Ten
The bell rang for the break and Rina cursed under her breath at how loud it was. "I still hate the bell." She muttered before getting up and going towards the trash, slowly crumbling up the paper out of habit only to remember it was Jungkook's. She sharply turned back to her table, starting to iron the crumbled corner. All that time, Jungkook was watching with a strage amused smile. He slowly bursted into laughter as Rina kissed the paper. Of course she knew he was watching- so she wanted to make him laugh by kissing the paper better, and her eye smile came out as her sensitive ears filled with his laughter. "Nice," She clapped, mostly at herself, and looked at the laughing male. His laughter soon died down as he held his stomach, Rina was surprised by how easy it was- just kiss a paper in front of Kook, she made a mental note and nodded to herself before making her way to him.
"Let's go~." Rina took his arms and pulled him up, ignoring his surprised expression at how she managed to do that. "W-where?" He was starting to get scared again, will she lock me in a room and beat me to death? He scared himself by his dark thoughts, constantly doubting Rina but who wouldn't doubt in the girl that made your life hell and is now strangely nice to you?
"Something to eat, duh. I can hear your stomach grumbling from a mile away." Rina giggled, hooking her arm with his. She didn't know why, but she just like to touch him. "N-no, I do-don't-" Jungkook sighed, taking a deep breath before starting again. "I don't want to." He successfully didn't stutter. Two days ago, she told him he's too fat and should starve himself but now here she is, taking him to eat. " Forget everything that I said, it was all lies and I feel bad." Rina mumbled the last part but Jungkook heard it anyways. Instead of the sentence comforting him, it only made his heart churn in fear, if she was lying before then shs's still lying- is what Jungkook's brain got and made him believe. It was not true, I mean- she did lie here and there but it wasn't to hurt his feelings. "O-only if you eat with me." Jungkook bit his tongue as he stuttered in the beginning. It was Rina's turn to panic, how can she just tell him oh yeah, can't eat I only drink blood. She shook hear head with a gulp, "Can't. Not hungry." She didn't exactly lie, she wasn't hungry- she never is. "But! I'll drink something." She quickly patted Jungkook's arm, cussing at herself for the mess she made for herself. Jungkook took a second before nodding. The two made their way to the school's cafeteria.
Rina didn't know what to drink, this would be the first time she ever had another liquid that wasn't blood in her system. "Um, Kook?" She tugged on his hoodie's sleeve, he looked at her without responding. "I don't know what to get." She nervously chuckled, her eyes scanning over the drinks that she only saw here and there. "Your favorite?" Jungkook cocked his head as he looked at the girl. She seemed so lost to him at the moment- which she was- and he felt his heart flutter at the sight of her puffing out her cheeks before looking at him. "They don't have it." Again, not a lie. They didn't have blood packs, unfortunately. She really wanted to go to Mr.Kim and ask for one but she didn't want to leave Jungkook alone. "I'll get the same as you." Rina finally nodded to herself, a smile spreading across her face as she saw Jungkook struggling with himself. She could already guess it was because of ordering. "Tell me what you want, I'll order." Rina lightly pushed his body behind her while listening to what he wants.
Once Rina ordered, Jungkook couldn't be more thankful- he was close to tears as this is the nicest thing someone has done for him. He always has trouble with social interactions, ordering food was the worst as he thought the workers would make fun of him. "Thank you." The boy mumbled, bobbing his head so his bangs fall in front of his eyes so he can push them away. Rina nodded, putting the tray in front of him as they took a seat.
Jungkook looked at the girl, not touching his food. Her eyes fell on the boy in front of her, her eyebrow raising, "What?" He pointed towards her glass filled with coke, Jungkook's favorite drink. "Oh! Yeah." She gulped, wrapping her fingers around the glass and bringing it up to her lips. Jungkook took a bite out of his burger as his doe eyes were watching the girl that was trying to hide her struggling with the drink. Once she finally gulped down her drink, her eyes widened at the interesting and bubbly taste. "What is this? It's so good!" She took another sip, not caring if she will later feel sick since she doens't know how this will affect her. Jungkook couldn't help but laugh, "Coke, you never tried it?" Rina shook her head, loving the feeling of the bubbly sensation dancing on her taste buds. "Weird." Jungkook shrugged, a smile falling on his face as he continued eating.
