Chapter Nineteen

The boy stood there in awe as he looked nowhere but the girl he just found out was a vampire. He didn't feel scared, not anything of the kind, he was actually happy- excited as well. Happy because she told him such a huge secret, yeah he didn't believe it at first but who would? And excited because all kinds of thoughts came into his head, all the things they could do as she wasn't a human, all the exciting things she could tell him. 

It all suddenly vanished as he remembered she didn't actually answer his question, "What about you and Mr.Kim? Were you like together in his past life or something?" He bit his lip as he still couldn't take his eyes off of the girl in front. She laughed, Jungkook only waited for her to collect herself. Which she did after a minute, she then took a deep breath. "Secret!" She cupped her mouth as soon as the words flew out. Jungkook's face fell, so it is something like that- He thought, finally tearing his gaze from her.

Rina laughed, "No seriously, you can't tell him this but," Jungkook's ears perked up as his thoughts may not be true. "He's a vampire, my dad and him have been friends for literal centuries. and he's been helping me for a really long time." Rina smiled, feeling at ease as she finally told a whole sentence without any lies.Jungkook released his breath that he held before shyly smiling. His face was starting to get red and even through all that foundation,Rina could finally see a tint of red, he was embarrassed by everything he has done. From skipping, to yelling at Rina and then basically pressuring her into revealing a huge secret. He felt bad. "Sorry," He sighed, not wanting to look anywhere but the ground. "Ay, it's fine. I was mad because of something dumb too." Rina giggled, nudging Jungkook's shoulder. She was though, it was dumb of her to just believe what those girls said. Jungkook chuckled, he was curios but didn't want to push her into admitting something again so he just let it go.

"Ay, get inside and be excited." Rina shooed him after an hour of just standing and chatting in front of his apartment. He nervously smiled, looking at his phone to see what time it is- he would sit inside of the doors for a few hours as it there was still a few minutes until they were supposed to be done with school. "Why excited?" He questioned, interested but wanting to spend a few more minutes talking to her. Rina smiled before talking, "Tomorrow's Saturday, right?" She continued once Jungkook gave a nod to her question, "Well, I'm taking you to super secret places with me." She poked his shoulder as she spoke, making both of their hearts jump at the contact. "You're not gonna kill me, right?" He asked, mostly out of joke- but not completely. He did want to make sure it wasn't the case though. Understanding when Rina bursted into laughter, he gave a breathy chuckle himself, but was relived once she shook her head through the laughter.

After an hour passed, the two parted ways. Jungkook nervously walked into the place he lives with a slap welcoming him, while Rina happily greeted her dad before running upstairs to jump on her bed. She remembered the way she was suddenly confident and held his hand, her heart fluttering and her cheeks heating up as she squealed into her pillow.

Jungkook thought of the way their hands fit perfectly, trying to keep himself awake from the hell he got. Turns out Mr.Kim called his parents too and asked where he went and made Jungkook's daily beating turn into one of the worst ones. He almost ended up in a hospital as he found it hard to breathe, swallow or even keep himself conscious- so his mind wandered to Rina every few seconds. His heart picked up it's pace and he didn't know if he should be glad or sad by the fact is heart was still beating.
