Chapter Twenty four

Rina was panicking. Her fingers were starting to hurt from being in a fist for so long and her gums were throbbing as her fangs were begging for some contact with blood. "Are you okay?" Jungkook nudged the vampire's arm. She shook her head as an answer. "What's wrong?" He questioned, taking a bite of his food. "Oh! What's that thingy Mr.Kim usually brings?" Jungkook added another question as he remembered that usually by this time Rina gets something. "Blood." Rina answered the second question, taking a sip of the coke and try to quench her thirst. The days she spent with Jungkook at first without blood was something she didn't understand, how could she crave it so much now but she didn't back then? Probably getting older. Nah, she just assumed that.

"Blood?" Jungkook repeated after her to himself and as if a light bulb turned on over his head he gasped. "Oh my- you're dying?!" He quickly took her shoulders and lightly shook them which only made her head throb. "No! I'm not! I ju- I just need blood and Mr.Kim isn't here." She sighed, fingers finally straightening. "Any type of blood or?" Jungkook asked another question as he played with the burger in his hand. "Yeah, but I prefer A." Upon hearing that a smile made it's way onto Jungkook's face. Rina, thinking he was confused but smiled so he doesn't ask anymore questions, started explaining why. "I mean- I can drink any type but it's like food for you, you have favourites and the one you absolutely hate." Jungkook chuckled once she was done and nodded. "I'm A." Jungkook announced, a smirk dancing on his lips once Rina's wide eyes met his.

A twisted smile shone on Rina's face before she shook her head, she wanted to drink from him. As if he read her thoughts, which he of course didn't, he offered his blood. "If you want, I don't mind." His shoulders moved up and down into a shrug as he took the straw out of Rina's mouth and took a sip out of the coke. Rina was stunned by him. There's not many people that would offer that. She shook her head once again, the thought of him barely surviving was enough to make a shiver run down her spine. "No." Jungkook pouted as the answer somehow managed to break his heart, just a little.

"Why not?" He pushed, looking slightly offended over to Rina. "Kook, I said no." Rina rolled her eyes and forcefully took the straw Jungkook was playing with to take a sip. "But I want you to-" Rina cut him off with a groan. "Well I don't want to!"

"You don't want to?" Jungkook chuckled as Rina dragged her feet behind him as they were on their way to the bathroom. After 15 minutes of arguing, Rina gave up on trying to fight him as she was actually starting to lose her mind. "Shut up or I'm leaving." Rina threatened through her teeth. She wanted to drink from him but at the same time she didn't- what if she wouldn't be able to stop herself and kill him? Rina closed her eyes shut as she walked into the empty cubicle with Jungkook- who was excited and oblivious to the danger of his actions.

"You know I can kill you, right?" The vampire gulped as she lightly rubbed the human's wrist- right on the spot her fangs would sink into. Jungkook shook his head but let out a chuckle, "At least it would be you out of all. You know, to kill me." His chuckle turned awkward as Rina just sighed, her head lightly shaking as she eyed his wrist.

"I don't know if it's gonna hurt. Just be prepared for anything." Rina muttered, her hands lifting Jungkook's wrist to her mouth. The boy nodded, his whole arm going limp as he felt comfortable by Rina's hold. "If I don't stop and you start getting dizzy, push me away as hard as you can." Rina instructed, taking his other arm to her shoulder and acting as if he pushed her just to prolong the actual bite. "Will do."
