Chapter Forty

Once Jungkook left the rooftop, he made his way to the empty hallways. "At least I'm not in class." He muttered to himself. "Jungkook." He turned towards the voice and saw Sua. He gasped and ran towards her. Her face was all bruised up, triggering Jungkook. "What happened?!" He examined her face, brushing his thumb against a big bruise on her cheek. "Rina did this. She's insane!" Sua cried, pulling Jungkook into a hug, only to pull away with a questioning look. "Why are there wet spots on you back?" Jungkook was confused at first, but realized that it was probably from Rina. "Dunno." He lied. "What did Rina do to you?" He changed the topic back at her. Sua sniffled, "she was saying she will kill me if I touch you again." As she was talking, Jungkook took her hands into his and examined them. Only to find purple on his thumb, from her 'bruise'. He scoffed, "really Sua?" He dropped his arms to his sides, shook his head and went back where he thought he should be, leaving Sua in confusion.

Rina heard the doors opening, but ignored them as she was too busy crying. "'Kay, I'm sorry. Geez." She looked up as she heard Jungkook's voice, to see him in front of her. Seeing her only looking at him with those gray eyes of hers, he couldn't help but roll his eyes and rub her shoulder. "Okay, cry it out I guess." Rina laughed, tears still rolling down her cheeks but she wiped them off. She felt like she got a part of her Jungkook back. As Rina was calming down, Jungkook talked. "I'm not friends with you, you're still a freak but still," he said before starting, "Sua told me you beat her up and look at this. The bruises are fake!" He showed Rina his purple-ish thumb and Rina nervously bit her lip. "Kook," Jungkook hummed in response, it was almost natural to him even tho it's his first time. "I, uh, I kinda did tho." Rina nevrously chuckled as Jungkook's eyes widened. Rina was wondering why would Sua fake a bruise when it clicked- vampires heal fast as fuck, so faking it seems perfect to make it seem like she's the victim . "W- how is this on- wait- the fuck?" Jungkook was confused before bursting into laughter. "Oh God, you're a liar too. If you think that acting like you actually did that is gonna impress me?" He laughed, holding his stomach as if it was hurting, how could Rina tell him the truth now?

"Haha, yeah," Rina forced a laugh, "wanna feel if I'm lying, you little-" Rina rose her fist up, acting as if she's about to hit him when he starts panicking. "No! Don't!" He covered his face. "Oh shit- don't tell me-" Rina cupped her mouth as she came to a realization. "I'm so sorry!" Jungkook took a deep breath, plastering a fake ass smile on his face and forcing a laugh, "got you!" Rina only looked at him with bored eyes. "Can I just try something?" Jungkook nodded, but shook his head and backed away as he saw Rina spit on her thumb. "No. Nope. I'm leaving." He got up and towards the doors, stopping as he could literally feel Rina's pout and sighed. "You coming?" He turned around, his hand holding the doors open then motioning for her to first once she got up.

"Let's stop by the bathroom. I need to wee." Rina giggled as Jungkook changed the direction when she said that. "You're cute, you know that?" Rina said, slightly giggling from happiness that Jungkook was actually with her. "I'll pretend I didn't hear anything." Jungkook rolled his eyes. "You know that you got that from me, right?" She pointed at his rolling eyes, which made him roll them again. "Just go pee already." He shooed her into the bathroom but she didn't go. "Promise you'll stay and wait here?" She pulled out her pinky, waiting. Jungkook sighed and wrapped his pinky around hers, "promise. Now go."

As Rina left, he leaned on the wall next to the doors and took out his phone.
