Chapter Eight

Rina and Jungkook spent the entire day together. From playing random games together to actually getting comfortable with each other. Rina was the one leading most of the conversations, which was not surprising as Jungkook still didn't let himself trust her entirely as he thought she's going to use every single thing he said against him. With their day off from school ending, Jungkook was snuggled up in the guest room as Rina didn't let him leave since she thought he would try to do something again, while she was waiting for her dad to come around so she can tell him to call Mr.Kim and come up with an excuse for both Jungkook and herself. 

Jungkook was terrified, his mind kept wandering to what will happen when he comes home, how bad will he be damaged after his parents lay his hands on him. He whimpered and snuggled deeper into the blanket that he only now realized smelled like Rina, strangely it took his mind off of his worries for a second as he sniffed it like a bunny. "Ay, you asleep?" Jungkook almost let out a scream as Rina's whisper broke the silence in the room. "No..yo-." He face palmed as he was about to ask her if she's awake, which she obviously was. Rina caught on his mistake, and unlike before she just giggled as she thought it was cute and trying to not make fun of him. "I usually sleep walk." She bit her lip as she promised herself not to make fun of him. She was relieved as Jungkook quietly giggled. She broke into a relieved smile and took a seat next to him. "Did you have fun today?" She tapped the blankets, subconsciously tucking him in. Jungkook shifted uncomfortably, not knowing how else to react to Rina's sudden action. Once she caught herself doing that, she stopped, awkwardly clearing her throat. "Sorry, didn't mean to." She looked at the wall as she spoke, clasping her hands together to keep them from doing something awkward again. "It's okay," Jungkook lightly tugged on his lower lip. Silence covered the room like a blanket and Rina awkwardly stood up, forgetting why she came in the first place, "Good night, sleep well." She muttered and went out, not forgetting to close the doors. "You too..," Jungkook trailed off as he tossed before sleep slowly pulled him in.

"Kook! Fire!!" Rina screamed while running into the guest room the sleeping boy was in. Upon hearing her screams, Jungkook jumped from the bed- feeling the sleepiness go away within a second. "What?!" Jungkook yelled, running to Rina in fear before she bursted into laughter. Jungkook's features relaxed, as mad as he was at the moment he couldn't help but to appreciate the fact that there was no fire. "Rina! I was so scared!" He whined, finding the courage out of his anger to lightly push the girl. The said girl only laughed, she didn't mind him pushing her as to her it meant that he was getting comfortable, "Hey! I was scared too, I've been trying to wake you up for the last 20 minutes!" Jungkook looked at her and started considering murder, not really but he really wanted to yell at her. Seeing his angry expression, Rina decided to remind him, "We have school." With that, Jungkook's eyes were wide once again as he started panicking, looking for a clock to see if they were gonna be late. "It's 6:30am." Rina rolled her eyes before chuckling at the panicking male before her. "If you don't get ready now, we're late." He nodded, pushing her out only to find out he doesn't have any clothes to change into. Rina already thought of that and took her dad's clothes. She walked back in with a pair of jeans and a basic black tee. "Here ya go," She smiled as she gave him the clothes, her smile dropping as he cocked an eyebrow, "Is there spit or something in there?" It took all of him not to stutter half of those words but he felt proud by the fact he made it. "No, the fuck why would I spit into my dad's clothes?" She felt obligated to tell him it isn't some random guys clothes laying around. She didn't want him to think she had guys coming over, not knowing why but it bothered her to even think about it. He nodded, still unsure but motioning her to leave either way- not wanting to be late. 

He groaned as he sniffed the clothes she gave him only for his nostrils to be filled with her smell, he felt intoxicated for some reason- and he didn't like the sudden feeling of butterflies forming in the pit of his stomach. He didn't like the thought of falling for her, even if she's obviously trying to be nicer to him, he still didn't want to fall for the girl that hurt him for years and made him feel so much worse about himself. He shook off those thoughts and changed into the clothes she gave him.

He walked out of the room after 2 minutes and couldn't help but to feel self-conscious as the tee tightly hugged his body, Rina said he was fat two days ago and now he's here going in front of her in the tightest shirt he ever wore. He tried to cover the shirt by his baggy hoodie he put on over that. "Re- holy shit." Rina stopped in her tracks as her eyes landed on Jungkook. Jungkook's heart swelled while waiting for the insults to come but they never did, Rina just stood there and looked at him with her wide eyes. "You look good, idiot." She nodded and quickly turned on her heels, not forgetting to throw a mean nickname his way. He sighed, relieved she didn't actually say something about his Shriek body- or so he thought it was- and followed the girl out.
