Chapter Forty-Four
"Welcome!" Rina's dad ruffled Jungkook's hair before taking the suitcase out of his hand. "I feel like I met you before." Rina's dad chuckled, shooting Rina a playful look as Jungkook was standing, confused. "Right? Have we met before?" Jungkook scratched his ear while looking at her dad, cutely tilting his head to the side in confusion. "Don't know. Probably." He winked and left with the suitcases, "ignore him." Rina sighed but couldn't contain her smile. She led him towards the couch and sat him.
"So, you're adopted huh?" Rina handed him a glass of water and sat next to him on the couch. Jungkook nodded, thanked her for the water and took the glass, taking a sip while waiting for Rina to say something. "The boy looks exactly like you though." Rina continued, "that's why they adopted me." Jungkook laughed, it was a forced one so he doesn't make it seem he's making things too serious. He continued talking as Rina was shooting a questioning look, "apparently he had the same name as me too. He was their son, I guess." Rina stopped him, "is this making you uncomfortable?" shooting him an apologetic smile when he answered, "not really, but I'm not comfortable either?" Rina apologized and switched the topic to a more light one.
"So, what kind of dreams do you have boy?" Rina's dad suddenly questioned as he came downstairs. "Uh..don't know?" Jungkook fidgeted with his hands while answering. "I had a nightmare yesterday, though!" Rina's dad giggled, "what happened? Got hit by a car?" Rina's dad couldn't stiffle a kettle laugh once he met Rinas eyes. "Go away." Rina pointed upstairs and her dad apologized and went to his room, silently laughing to himself as he found serious situations regarding Rina funny.
"He's creepy." Jungkook commented once he heard the doors shut. "Does he control my dreams or something?" He questioned Rina, actual fear portrayed on his face. "What if he comes into my room at night and scare me?" Jungkook continued until Rina stopped him. "Just ignore him. He likes to joke with dumb stuff."
