Chapter Twenty-one

"Are you ready?" Rina asked as she bended her knees for Jungkook to climb on comfortably. They finished their breakfast and were finally on their way to one of Rina's secret places. "No, I didn't place an order for my coffin yet. You can order that online, right?" He half joked, pacing behind the girl who rolled her eyes. "Yeah sure, you just might get a body free." She giggled, impatiently hopping in place. "I won't kill you!" She turned around to hit his chest, lightly, before turning back around. Jungkook chuckled, taking a step and wrapping his long arms around her neck before jumping and wrapping his legs around the tiny yet strong girl. She straightened herself while positioning her hands to hold Jungkook up. "I trust you then." He mumbled right before Rina sped off into unknown. At least to him it was unknown.

Once they arrived, Rina stopped and Jungkook got off after a couple of seconds just so he returns to his senses. "Woah." Jungkook said in complete awe as his eyes scanned over the rocky path filled with pink blossoms at each side that lead to a stream. "How- how are blossoms pink? It's autumn." Jungkook chuckled, taking a few steps towards the blossom. "Don't know, magic?" Rina shrugged, not taking her eyes off of Jungkook. The mentioned male decided to carefully follow the rocky path towards the stream, Rina just watched- waiting to jump to help if he slips or any other accident that could hurt him. Once he sat down he looked back at Rina, inviting her next to him with a wave paired with his signature smile. She hopped towards him with a smile on her face before slumping down next to him.

"Question." Jungkook rose his hand up as if he's in school. Rina nodded, hands cupping her cheeks as she looked at him. He did get shy from the gaze but tried to ignore it the best he could. "How old are you?" He nervously smiled, fingers starting to play to a random rhythm on his lap. Rina released a laugh, "you won't freak out? I'm a grandma in your world." Jungkook nodded, starting to get a bit impatient. "I'm..," she dramatically leaned in, loving the way Jungkook was anticipating. "379 years old." She giggled, leaning back. Jungkook widened his eyes, forcing a laugh. "Funny. How old are you?" He repeated, not believing she's that old. There's no way. "I just told you. And I'm not even considered old!" She defended her age, pushing Jungkook while doing so. The male laughed, "Yeah no, not old at all." He rolled his eyes while his words were filled with sarcasm. "Some are 379 thousand or even million! I'm young!" Rina giggled, the need to address the fact that she wasn't as old as he thought was making it unbearable for her to not say it. "Well.. when you put it that way." Jungkook pretended he was in deep thought before nodding, "you're still old." Rina groaned before splashing the water from the running stream into the boy's face. She didn't think anything of it, she was just messing around with him. He gasped, returning the splash and it soon became a war zone.

Rina slipped over the now wet rocks but didn't fall as Jungkook caught her by her forearms. Her heart was screaming, Jungkook's cussing at him for doing that as his hands were on fire from just coming in contact with her skin. Rina muttered a thank you, starting to get lost in Jungkook's eyes as she straightened herself. Jungkook was starting to get confident because of her reaction as she was obviously taken aback. A small smirk made it's way on his face, taking a step and pulling the vampire against his soaked body. Rina's face was heating up under her wet hair, her ears and cheeks growing more and more red as the seconds were flying by. Jungkook's face slowly neared Rina's as his eyes flickered to her fluffy lips. A few drops from his bangs falling onto Rina's cheeks from how close they were.

As their lips were about to connect, Rina's eyes widened as she pushed him away only to pull him back to examine under his eye. She traced her finger over the purple mark as Jungkook winced.
