(Angst? it's not good so you should be OK, language, lil bit of fluff)

Lance's POV

There it was again, that annoying beeping. And just like usual, Keith's walking out again. Ever since we've come back from that weird space mall, Keith's been leaving at random times. Well, not exactly random times, just whenever the beeping starts.

I rolled my eyes and looked to the bot that I was fighting. What the hell was that beeping for, anyway? I mean, the only person that seems to know what's going on is Shiro. Keith would look to Shiro and he would nod his head before Keith would leave.

OH! And another thing! Keith's been smiling a lot more than usual. More as in, he smiled! KEITH NEVER SMILES! I mean, I'm not complaining... OK, OK! I might have a tiny, ity, bity crush on Keith. But that doesn't mean anything!

The point is, Keith's been really weird and I want to know why. So that's why I'm following him, leaving the bot behind. Shiro didn't see me walk out, but that's a good thing, because Keith doesn't know where I am either. He seems really normal right now, though. He's not smiling, he looks like his grumpy self. He's starting to head towards the foods room, so maybe the beeping means he needs to eat something?

No, that can't be, the bell goes off during meals all the time and he walks out then to. I watched Keith enter the kitchen and I followed quickly behind him. I ducked down behind the counter before he could see me and I heard a sigh.

"I'm almost out."

I cocked an eye brow. Out of what? I peered over the top of the counter and saw Keith's back to me. I heard something rattling around, so I tilted a bit to see what Keith had. All I could see was an orange bottle in his hand. More questions rushed to my head when Keith opened the bottle and placed the white cap on the table in front of him.

The rattling came again as Keith tilted the bottle. Some white tablets fell out and into Keith's hand. Keith pored some back into the bottle before reaching for the cap. Keith turned around to face me so I ducked back down behind the counter. I could feel my heart beating faster as Keith's footsteps came closer to the other side of the barrier.

I heard a cabinet opening up and closing. I took my chance and peered over the counter again to see that Keith had turned back around. The faucet turned on and a dark purple liquid came out. We've learned after a while that this was the Altean's version of water, but it was safe for us to drink. The purple liquid stopped and sat in a cup Keith held underneath it. Keith tilted his head back slightly before poring the water into his mouth. Some of the water dribbled down his chin as he finished the glass of every droplet.

Keith tisked and put the cup in the sink. He grabbed the orange bottle and put it in that weird pack connected to his belt. He turned around again and started to leave. I pressed myself into the counter as hard as I could until Keith left without anything else to grab.

"What the fuck did I just see?"

Keith's POV

I yawed as the morning alarm went off around the castle. I stretched my arms over my head and yawed again. I rubbed my eyes while swinging my legs over the side of the bed. Standing up, I walked over to the bathroom to do my routine. Take a piss, brush my teeth, brush my hair, take my pills, get dressed, walk out the door in less than five minutes.

I walked over to the kitchen door and it opened automatically. I scratched my head as Hunk said good morning to me. I responded the same and took my seat. Everyone else came in soon after, the others being Pidge and Lance, and the meal started. As if a switch went off in my brain, I was bolted awake at the sense of food on my tongue. God, Hunk can cook.
