I Do

(Matt’s girlfriend is in this one, but I don’t know her real name so, fake one it is. Fluff!)

The church was lit dimly, the surrounding walls covered in fairy lights. The middle aisle was carpeted red with small clear bowls setting on the side of each row. Inside every other bowl was a blue light, in others a red one. Purple tool was bunched up underneath the bowls, and at the front of the church stood the priest and next to her, Lance.

Lance shook and swayed, the guest filling in and taking their sets. He glanced to his left to his family's side of the church, the children chasing one another and complaining about their outfits. He smiled and made eye contact with his mother, his father trying to settle everyone down. She gave Lance a slight nod of approval and a thumbs up.

The music began, the bridesmaids and groomsmen coming down in pairs. The first pair being Matt and his girlfriend. They had helped Lance so much with the wedding, and they weren't even the best man/maid of honor.

The next pair was Veronica and Axca. Of course they had to have them in the wedding, one being a sister of blood and the other being a sister of heart. Veronica stood next to Matt, both of them laughing at something Veronica said.

Next, and finally, the best man and maid of honor walked down the aisle, both in tuxes. Hunk was already crying, clinging to Pidge’s arm and wiping tears away with his other. Pidge had a few years in her eyes as she tried to calm Hunk down. Both separated and Lance hugged Hunk. Anymore of this and Lance will start bringing out the water works.

A different song played, everyone stood up, the doors opened in the back of the church, and Lance's jaw dropped. They had talked about who was walking down the aisle, and whether or not that person would wear a dress.

His perfect curves, his curled hair, and the best dress to match it all. A tight topped dress with the slightest poof from the hip down. The top was covered with beads and sparkles, the bottom having lines and spirals of the same. The train of the dress dragged behind the beautiful boy, the flower girl and ring bearer, Lance's niece and nephew, walking in front. More tears rolled down Lance’s face as his bride walked up to him. A soft veil covered his face, but Lance could tell that underneath it he was smiling.

“You may remove the veil now,” the priest spoke.

With a deep breath Lance took the veil in his shaking hands and brought it up to reveal a smiling Lotor.

“AAAAHHHHH!!!!” Lance sat up in his bed with a shriek.

Veronica, Hunk, and Matt woke up as well, running over to Lance’s side to make sure that he was OK. Lance looked around at his bedroom, finding the floor to be covered by the many blankets and pillows from the sleepover they had last night. Lance looked around frantically for a moment, looking for is real bride to be, but remember that the wedding was today.

Lance didn’t believe that it was bad luck to see each other on the wedding day, but Keith said that it would be fun to do. With deep breaths and gulp, Lance shook his head and told everyone that he was OK.

“Bro, what happened?” Matt asked as he sat on the bed.

“Just…. A nightmare.”

Veronica rolled her eyes, “Great, were already off to a bad start. Get your ass up and start getting ready, we’ve gotta be at the church in an hour.”

Lance rose quickly and rushed everything he did. His shower, brushing his teeth, brushing his hair, brushing his teeth again, getting dressed in normal street clothes so he wouldn’t get them dirty on the way to the church, brushing his hair again, again with the teeth, packing everything into the car, messing with his hair again, changing his outfit, double checking the car, taking another shower, teeth, car, hair, teeth, car, teeth, hair, “OK, OK, Lance relax with everything your doing. We still have 45 minutes till we have to be at the church!” Hunk yelled and sat Lance down on the couch.
