“Dinner was great!” Lance exclaimed as he stood up from the table.

“I’m glad you enjoyed it. By the way, Mr. Bobinsky has invited you to see one of his shows,” the other mother smiled.

“Really?! That’s awesome!”

The mother’s buttons shined while she spoke, “Perfect! Now, your father and I will clean up while you and your friend will go up and watch the show.”

“My friend?”

The other mother smiled and walked to the kitchen door, opening it to reveal another Keith. Lance groaned on the outside but jumped with nothing but happiness on the inside. This world keeps getting better with every day that he’s here. The other Keith smiled and walked forward, more like ran, to Lance. He wrapped his arms around Lance and squeezed as much as he could. He was laughing and jumping slightly with a smile on his face. The other mother smiled as well, walking up behind Keith and pulling him back from Lance, keeping her hands on his shoulders.

“Wow, he’s really happy,” Lance laughed.

“Of course I am! I’m with you, aren’t I?” the other Keith blushed and swayed.

Lance blushed as well and he looked to his other mother for an explanation, which he got, “I thought you would like him more if he talked more. So I fixed him!”

Lance laughed quietly as the other Keith ran back to Lance and dragged him out of the house. A permanent smile was left on Lance’s face as Keith talked about how amazing Mr. Bobinsky’s act is and how excited he is to be here. During the show Keith was quiet, letting Lance enjoy the show as he himself watched Lance. Lance glanced over to Keith, who blushed and turned away with a small smile. Why couldn’t the real Keith smile all the time?

With a racing heart, Lance reached for Keith’s hand, intertwining their fingers as the show went on. The other Keith relaxed, listening to the band of mice play and dance while holding Lance’s hand. When the show finished and Mr. Bobinsky said goodbye, Keith dragged Lance back to the house. Their hands remained together until Lance climbed into bed. With his other family and friends surrounding him, Lance drifted off to sleep.

The next morning was more boring than ever. Not only was the door locked, but today was filled with shopping. His large family was everywhere, every child screaming in the car and in the stores. Lance sat on the stairs of a clothing store, watching his mother sort through a rack of boring gray clothes while his siblings ran about with plastic swords. Next to Lance was a small table of gloves with a bright blue pair in the center. A small smile grew on his face as he tried them on, the gloves fitting perfectly.

From the top of the stairs he heard his siblings falling down on a stool that had wheels. After the two children that were on it crashed the stool rolled over to Lance. With a smirk, Lance hopped onto the minicher chair and rolled to his mother, presenting the gloves obviously three times to her until she said to put them back in a monotone voice.

“Moooooooom! If you get them for me then I’ll be so much cooler in school! No will have these with their gray clothes!” Lance whined.

“Put. Them. Back.”

Lance jumped off the stoll with a frown and crossed his arms, “My other mother would get them for me.”

Lance’s mother rolled her eyes, “Maybe she should buy all of your clothes.”
