I sat on the park bench near my apartments taking in my surroundings. Very bland and grunge. It was pretty but not as pretty as California. That's why I was so excited for this trip.

I bugged the guys about it constantly. Anytime I got the chance I let them hear my big mouth.

Suddenly, I felt a presence sit next to me. Oliver.

"Hi," he mumbled.

I was waiting for his sorry.

"I'm sorry," he began.

There it is.

"I should've just let you known. Apart of me didn't want you to go cause I had a feeling something would go wrong. But here you are, in one piece, completely fine. I care about you more than you think. I can show you better then tell," he leaned in and gave me a hug.

Oliver's POV

Why didn't I kiss her? What's wrong with me?

"It's okay Oliver," she spoke softly. "I get it," she pulled away. I wish she hadn't.

"How about we go inside and watch some Netflix?" she suggested. "Ana let me have her password."

"What did you want to watch?" I asked.

"American Horror Story."

"Haven't watched it."

Her hazel eyes widened. "Then you haven't lived!"

She got up, taking my hand, and pulled me all the way back to the building. I couldn't help but smile. She made me really happy.

Hugs were all I got this night, but I didn't mind. Her hugs were warm and loving.

I laid awake wondering if Jay had stopped feeling this way about her. I doubt it. She was hard to get over. If she wasn't then I'd be asleep right now, but no. Here I am thinking about her.

I don't know why Cordelia is letting her go to California by herself. Honestly, I was ready to find my passport if she planned on sending me. But nothing yet. Did she give up on her?

No. Why am I thinking like that? It's her aunt for crying out loud! She was the one who got her out of that hell in the first place.

All of a sudden I heard a knock at my door. I hoped it wasn't the landlord. Little late on rent.

I opened it to find Hayley. Her messy red hair all over the place. Still looked adorable as hell though.

"You left your phone at my place," she placed it in my hand. "I would've given it to you tomorrow morning but someone was blowing up your phone and it was keeping me up."

"Well sorry about that. Don't have many friends so that's weird."

She laughed.

"Goodnight Oliver," she walked away slowly.

This was my chance.

"Hayley," I began walking up to her. She turned and looked at me with innocent eyes.

I leaned down.

Hayley's POV

He was going to kiss me. Apart of me said yes! Let him! Another part of me was like this is going to ruin everything!

It was too late. His lips were making contact with mine. My emotions were all over the place.

I pulled away slowly, not knowing what to say or think.

Oliver's POV

It sucks ya know? Not being able to read someone. Not knowing what they're thinking or how they feel is tough!
