I drove myself to the soccer game. Once I parked, I texted Ana to see where she was at.
'I'm in front of the snack bar with Max's lady friend.'
Oh yea! I totally forgot I was meeting Max's new 'lady friend.'
'move and i kill u. (;' I replied.
The amount of looks I got walking over there was insane. Not sure if it was a good thing to be known by a lot of people. Even if I hadn't fought with Paige it was bound to happen anyways. Like Nathan said, I was with the 'popular group.'
Soon enough I found Ana accompanied by the girl from the ice cream shop. To be honest I never really got a good look at her till now.
I already ship it. She's a blonde. I was so jealous of her nose hoop ring. She was giving me good vibes. Especially since she had a Guns N Roses tee on.
"Hayles, this is Jenna," Ana introduced.
"Hey Jenna! Cool to meet you," I gave her a quick hug.
"Back at you!"
In the distance we could hear a whistle. The game was starting!
"Let's get to the bleachers!" Ana hurried.
We sat at the top of the bleachers looking down at everyone else. Jenna sat in the middle of us. Man did this school have spirit! The guys were doing amazing also.
Max had scored two goals already. Jay was close once, but he fell. Clumsy Jay.
"So what school do you go to?" I heard Ana ask Jenna.
"Cordell,' she answered.
"Would happen to know Oliver Sykes?"
Wonderful. Not like she knew what was going on anyways so I can't be mad.
"Oliver is like one of my best buds!" she exclaimed.
Lovely.
"Did you hear that?!" Ana nudged me.
"Hear what?" I played dumb.
"Jenna is close friends with Oliver."
"Oh that's cool," I tried to sound excited.
"Hold on a sec," Jenna began. "You're Hayley? The Hayley."
"Ummm yea."
"You're like Oliver's favorite subject. You know that?"
"Sorry," I shrugged.
"Why?" she laughed. "You sound like a really great person."
The crowd roared. Another goal for Riverdell. The subject changed after that. But I couldn't stop thinking about him now. He talks about me to his friends. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Now I was suddenly curious and wanted to ask Jenna what he says.
After doing the wave like a gizzilion times I decided to ask her.
"What does Oliver say about me?"
She smiled, "Always good things. He likes you. Like really likes you. He's not good at admitting things but I could tell."
"Really?"
"Yes! He wasn't at school yesterday. Happen to know what's been going on? He was supposed to come to todays game too."
I wonder why he was gone. Was that who Cordelia was with? "Sorry. I haven't been in touch with him."
Ana looked confused but I just ignored it. The game ended and Riverdell won with a score of 2-1! Me and the girls ran down the bleachers catching up with the guys.
