The next morning was dreadful. My sleeping pattern fucked up,bad. I threw on anything and fixed my hair.
It's a miracle I haven't ran into Oliver lately. I knew it wouldn't last for long though. There I go jinxing myself.
I locked my apartment door and decided to use the stairs today. Just in case Oliver were to pop up out of nowhere.
I got into my car and drove out of the garage. Today was not going to be my day. I could just feel it.

School, how fun. My first stop was the office. I guess Cordelia got a call telling me to go see the principal once I came back.
I went into the front office. The same elder lady, that I now knew as Faven greeted me with a smile.
"Morning love," she greeted.
"Morning." Well this is a change, no glare. I took a seat in one of the waiting chairs in front of Ms.Fern's office.
"How are you?" Faven asked.
I made sure she was talking to me before I answered.
"Good, but tired. Yourself?"
"Amazing, thanks to you."
"What have I done?"
"Got Paige out of school for awhile. Forgive me for saying this but she is a pain. Do you know what it's like to have her as an office T.A.? She does absolutely nothing. Ms.Fern has her favorites and that girl is one of them."
That explains why she came back to school earlier than I did.
"Cool, we both think she's a pain," I grinned.
"Let's keep this conversation to ourselves," she turned serious.
"What conversation?"
She gave me a smile.
Suddenly, Ms.Fern's office door opened next to me. A boy walked out. "You're next," he said walking away.
Guess this is it. I entered her office and sat down in the comfy leather seat. She was typing on her computer for like five minutes straight before looking up at me.
"Morning Hayley. I hope you had a great time your days off." Sarcasm. It was all sarcasm.
"So what'd you need to see me for?" I asked impatiently.
"New schedule."
Cool. I didn't have to waste my time and come here myself.
"You're studying all the same subjects, except one," she began. "We moved you around a little. Your lunch is still the same." Thank God. "Your seventh period is now your first. Different teachers also. The new subject is Photography. Easy A, don't worry about it."
At least I still have Ana.

My new first period class wasn't so bad. It was photography. Tom and Max are in my class now. They took me right under their arms when I walked in there.
"Come sit between us," Tom encouraged. So I did.
The teacher, Mr.Lark, was already shooting glares once I made that decision. We definitely were the wild bunch in this class.
"Did you run into-" Max got interrupted.
"Mr.George!" the teacher yelled.
"Yes sir?" Max sat up formally making me slightly giggle.
"Would you like to share a lunch with me?"
"No sir."
"Well then I suggest you zip it!" he began writing on his whiteboard again.
Me and Tom snickered to ourselves.

At lunch everything was going fine. That was until I noticed people staring. Jay didn't have to tell me they were talking about me, I could tell.
I haven't ran into Paige yet. I heard the bruise was still on her face to this day. But you know, rumors.
"You okay?" Jay asked.
"Perfectly fine," I lied.
"You coming to Friday's game?" Tom asked me.
"Maybe. I have to catch up on some work."
"Please go!" Max begged. "Jenna is going too and she really liked you and Ana."
"What's not to like? We're awesome," Ana stated winking.
"You're with us now. Remember?" Nathan nudged me.
"Fine, I'll go," I sighed thinking about all the make up work I'll have to do.
"If you really need to study, you can," Siva began. He was always the good one out of the bunch.
"It'll be fine."
"Yea Seev it'll be fine," Jay pulled me into a noogie.
I released myself from his grasp. "Who are you guys playing anyways?" I asked laughing.
"Cordell," Nathan answered.

Last period. New class. I knew no one in this class. Lovely.
I sat down in the corner. The seat next to me was vacant. We were in the middle of the reading when someone walked in. I didn't bother looking up since this book was not bad. Sad, but good. It was based on the holocaust.
To be honest I love to learn about history and such. I think it's crazy what a lot of people had to go through. Even though the system is still fucked up today, I'm glad it's not like it was before.
Suddenly, I felt a presence sit next to me. My face was still in my book.
"Hello darling."
Shit.
