Oliver and I pulled up to school on his bike. This morning wasn't as stressful as the others. After literary pouring my heart out to Oliver he seemed to be cautious with me. As if I were made out of glass. It annoyed me but I'm sure he'd be out of his shell soon.

"You still need to teach me," I reminded, handing him my helmet.

He smiled. "I always keep my promises. After school."

"I have work after school," I reminded.

"Then never," he winked as we walked up the steps to hell.

Lunch.

"I really love that shirt," Ana complimented.

It was one of the few colorful shirts I had. Rainbow colored tye die, I remember getting it at the pride parade. One of my most memorable days ever.

"Thanks Ana."

"As long as you don't end up like those girls," she pointed towards Rebecca and them who were dressed like cotton candy, "then we're good. Shit I'll probably have to shoot you."

"I'll hand you the gun," I winked.

Suddenly, I felt someone bump into me. I turned and it was just Max, probably did it purposely.

"Hi ladies," he waved girlishly.

"Sup Max," Ana greeted rolling her eyes.

"Nothing much. Waiting for Jenna to reply to her freaking text," he looked at his phone.

"She probably doesn't have the same lunch period as us in Cordell. Give her time," I nudged him.

He sighed. "Whatever. Let's go sit."

I looked out for Jay as we sat with the rest of the guys. He was no where in sight.

"Have you guys seen Jay?" I asked.

"Yea. I saw him last period," Siva said. "He didn't look too well."

"Maybe he got sick and went home?" Nathan guessed.

"Coach is gonna be mad at him for missing practice," Tom stated.

Ugh! I want him to understand what I've been through. To get why I'm just not ready.

"Have fun working after school," Nathan smirked.

"You suck for having practice today," I stuck my tongue out at him.

"You'll be fine," he assured.

"We'll see."

The rest of lunch passed by and I knew after this I wouldn't see Jay at all. Maybe Cordelia knew where he was? Poor Cordelia. I sighed.

I wish I could help her. I wondered if Jay could help. But Cordelia isn't greedy like that. She likes to deal with things on her own.

A hand waved in front of my face.

"Daydreaming much?" Oliver smiled.

"Yea," I began to quickly catch up with the notes.

"Whatcha thinking about anyways?" he asked.

"A lot of things."

"Like?"

"Jay," I blurted out. "I really want to see him."

"If I knew where he was I'd tell you. But we aren't exactly on good terms right now."

"Don't remind me..."

"Okay class!" Mr.Carlile spoke. "I sure hope you like your elbow partners because that's who you'll be working with for your next assignment."
