The girl I once knew looked completely transformed into something else. Last time I seen her she was a tattoo virgin. Not now, she even had a nose piercing.
"Someone pinch me," she muttered.
Pissed, but I don't blame her.
"Hannah, I don't even know where to start," I stuttered.
"You don't have to," she replied coldly. "I can't believe you."
"I'm just as pissed at myself as you are."
"You're so lucky I can't leave you right now," she sneered getting her tools ready.
"Anything you want to know? I'll lay it down for you right here, right now."
"Complete honesty?" she asked putting on her gloves.
"I swear it," Lie.
"Well first tell me where you want the tattoo."
"On the side of my right thigh," I answered.
She positioned herself as I did. I wasn't facing her now but maybe that was a good thing. I could honestly see myself breaking down in front of her.
I felt her clean the area with a disinfectant wipe and place the stencil.
"Why'd you leave?" Hannah asked turning the machine on and I braced myself.
"My aunt Cordelia decided to take custody of me after what happened with Chris."
"Him dying?" She wasn't convinced.
I never meant to say it but it was like word vomit, "He raped me." I never told her, I was too embarrassed.
The needle made contact with my fragile skin and holy shit! It felt like a hot scratching feeling.
She was stunned, "Why didn't you tell me Hayley? I could've gotten you out of that house. My mom kicked me out a little while after you left anyways."
"You're not homeless, right?" I got that out quite normally. I just tried focusing on Hannah's voice and not the needle piercing my skin.
"With this job, nah. I have a roommate though. She's a bitch," she muttered.
"Sorry to hear that."
"Yea me too," she went a little faster making me scared. "Why didn't you say goodbye?"
"I couldn't," tears were threatening to fall. Not because of the pain but the fact that I'm even talking to her right now seems unreal. "Seeing you upset would have been the hardest thing ever. I'm such a fucked friend," I muttered.
"No, I am for not paying more attention. I should've realized when things were going wrong and stopped it."
"Hannah," I sighed.
"Yea?"
"Shut up."
We both laughed.
"Try not to move!" she warned.
I stopped myself and she continued. The pain was fading now.
"How long are you staying?" she asked quietly.
"I'm leaving on Sunday."
"You promise to keep in touch? Possibly visit again?"
"Of course! We could even Skype and all that other good stuff. Just like a long distance relationship," I joked.
"HA. HA," she laughed sarcastically. "I missed you dude."
"I missed you too Hannah."

Hannah's masterpiece was finished! I loved it so much. I attacked her with a hug.
"That'll be 60 bucks!" she put her hand out after pulling away.
"I thought it was going to be 130?"
She nudged me, "Dude just give me it before I change my mind."
I shook my head smiling before handing her the money and she went off to the cash register.
Suddenly, the girls came into view.
"Check it," I smiled showing it off.
"Dude it's so sick!" Jenna exclaimed.
"Yea it looks great on you!" Ana complimented.
"Making me want one," Sam winked.
Hannah walked back over awkwardly. That was the only problem with Hannah, she was anti social.
"Guys!" I began. "This girl right here," I put my arm around Hannah. "Not only is she the artist of this lovely tattoo but also my best friend from around here."
They all introduced themselves and Hannah seemed to open up a little more. We all stood there for like fifteen minutes talking about the most randomest things ever!
If only Hannah's shift had ended right there! Before I left we exchanged numbers although I already had hers. I was hoping to see her at least one more time before leaving to the UK.

We got home and the first thing I did was put ointment on my new tattoo. It really did look amazing! The last thing I'd want to happen is it to get infected.
I posted a picture of it on Instagram with the caption, 'my skin has been penetrated by a needle for an hour. so worth it.'
I went into my notifications to find tons of requests!
It was pretty much all of the guys and a couple people I've seen around school. I accepted them all. Over 100 followers now. The perks of having popular friends.
Oli was the first to comment on the picture. 'Awww now you only need 100 more to look like me. (;'
Max next. 'Oooo stinger!'
'lovely pun.' I replied laughing.
Jay. 'Have fun explaining it to Cordelia. Love it as much as your user. <3'
Suddenly, I felt someone jump on the bed next to me.
"Hey Jenna," I greeted still a little startled.
"Hiya! I'm so tired but I don't wanna sleep," she whined.
"Well I wanna!" I yawned.
"Fine, you're no fun!" she pouted turning off the bedroom light.
Before passing out I texted Cody. Maybe he'd wanna hang before I go back.
'we out tomorrow? btw it's hayles.'
'You know it! Anyplace you had in mind?'
'no :/ haha. maybe we could just go for a walk around Berkeley?'
'Sounds cool. Where do i have to pick you up from?'
I texted him the details and charged my phone.
"Where you going?" Jenna giggled next to me.
I pushed her and she fell off the bed.
"Oh shit! Are y-ou okay?" I couldn't stop laughing.
"Perfect!" she gave a thumbs up.
