Saturday! This morning I dedicated to packing summer clothes for California. One more week! It's almost here and I was stoked.
There was a little voice in my head saying that going can be bad but I blocked it out. What can go wrong?
I eventually filled up my suitcase to the top. Can't we be going tonight?!
Suddenly, there was a knock on my door. I opened it to Oliver. He held a few envelopes.
"Your mail got mixed with mine," he simply said holding them out.
"Thanks Oliver," I took them but didn't close the door. I wanted to be over the whole Amy thing, a clean slate.
"How are you?" I asked.
He looked a little surprised. "Better," he answered. "And you?"
"Great. I was just getting close to finish packing for Cali."
"I almost forgot," he said sarcastically.
"Jealous?" I cocked my head.
"Maybe a little..." he admitted.
"Wanna go for a walk?" I asked. "I feel like we need to catch up."
He nodded his head.

Oliver was currently crying into my shoulder. I held him close. Even though he had been an ass to me I know what it's like. It's lonely and you need someone to talk to.
He confessed his hatred for Amy and how he was desperate. I didn't judge him cause then I'd be a hypocrite. Not going to lie, I used a lot of people after Alek's death. Did it help? Not really.
He pulled away wiping his tears. "I'm glad Jenna was there that night," he chuckled lightly. "I never even got to thank her yet."
"You can right now," I smiled.
"She probably hates my guts. I don't blame her either. Believe it or not we've been down this road before. She's probably fed up with all of it already. Shit, I would be," he wiped his eyes again.
Before I could say anything he spoke again, "I don't deserve you guys."
"Oliver, you're talking a bunch of nonsense. If anything it's me that doesn't deserve you. You were there for me and I'm just returning the favor," I stood up and held my hand out. "Cmon, I'm going to prove you wrong."

I lingered around the store, Drop Dead, while Jenna and Oliver talked. From the distance I was at, all seemed well. They were giving each other a longing hug.
This probably wouldn't be the last time I'd have to deal with something like this with Oliver. But this is what friends go through. It's just the cycle. Whether I liked it or not, I had to deal with it.
On Jenna's lunch break we all went to go eat at a cafe. It was fun. Oliver was being his old self again.
My phone rang in my pocket. Jay.
"I'll be right back guys," they nodded their heads and I walked outside the crowded cafe.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Hey Hayleyboo."
"Don't ever call me that again," I roll my eyes even though he can't see.
He laughed, "Okay I'll have to come up with something better next time!"
