Neil felt as if the entire world came crashing down in front of him and he broke apart as well, draining along with it. She knew this. What have I done? His regret was already on its peak a few days before and now he just realised that the peak was nothing. It's limit was endless, but his ego wouldn't let him scale it.
Ego and over self-respect are such pointless emotions that an access dose of them may make your relations worthless.
She knew this all along. She couldn't share it. It was just too oppressing to know and he knew she wouldn't even let her stress reach someone else especially him. I need to apologise. Now. He commanded himself. He went downstairs teary eyed, ignoring the questioning look and questions of his family. On the way he bumped into Mitali. "I.. I just came to decide our dresses for the wedding. It's day after tomorrow. You know that don't you?" Mitali asked. Neil ignored her as well and rushed off.
Sunehri's words struck her hardly. All along she was trying to justify herself. You don't need to when yah know you did the right thing. She kept reminding herself. But her soul would say go to him. Now she wouldn't. Not anymore. He was not treating her the way she should have been. Keep strong. Her mom said that she fought the best. Better than any warrior. Then who's him? She fought Dayawanti, a rascal like Vidyut and Ragini Pandit. Who was he in front of them? The hatred boiling up inside her, will turn intense. Now will he really see the true Ananya-against-love (not really love but him) phase. Over the years she believed that love was a really sweet thing. although Neil was not the right person to have with. She hugged Sunehri for her advice and headed with her to her solaced home. As soon as she entered, someone undesirable was waiting for her. What a pleasant surprise isn't it? She thought while smirking.
Neil was continuously wiping off the tears, streaming down his face. She was sure Apologising to her was going to difficult. But maybe she would melt seeing him like that? He himself wasn't sure about that. When he looked back at some of the painful moments of his life, he finally knew he had been wrong all along. She still stood by him. He thought he was alone all those ten years, not even a feeling was there to accompany him. But when he now thought from her perspective, she was not alone. A burden, a lot of pain and regret was there to accompany her.

He finally reached Sukoon Ghar and was somewhat happy to see his tiger playing happily. Atleast, he did not miss so much of his childhood, but yeah he did. But he was no longer going to blame her for it. Instead he was happy she did it.
He rang the doorbell with shaking hands. This was going to be difficult. He just hoped that she wouldn't open the door because she would just slam the door on him. Thank God he was lucky for it as Sunehri opened the door. She raised her eyebrows confusingly. "I want to meet Av." He replied. "I'm sorry for you can't." She said coldly. "Please it's urgent." He begged. "Neil why are you doing this? When she is finally trying to move on, you suddenly appear out of nowhere to make things tough for her. When you can't live without her then why don't you sort it out?" She yelled. "THAT'S WHAT I'M HERE TO DO!" He yelled in his husky voice and pushed beside her to her room. He stopped at the doorstep on the sight in front of him.
Holding a matchstick, she put fire to what he saw their memories. Their pictures, without any special pose but clicked randomly just like the way she liked. They were burning in front of him. He couldn't let that happen. Their precious memories couldn't just burn away. The fire on the stick descended backwards to her fingers. Neil rushed and kicked the fire out of the pictures. The fire had made way to her hands but she just wasn't affected. Her hand slowly started getting burnt. Neil went and threw the stick away, blowing air towards her hand. She just stood looking at the partially burnt themselves without blinking her eyes. Neil shook her shoulders violently "ARE YOU CRAZY? LOOK AT YOUR HAND!" He yelled but she didn't respond. "Avni what if it had gone too deep then? Something could have happened to you! Why don't you care for yourself? Life doesn't give too many chances Av." He said, seeing her not responding, he hugged her tightly , clutching her back and caressing her a mixture of golden-black-blonde-brown streaky hair. He just loved the texture. "I'm so sorry. Please don't do it. Please." He began shaking due to his sobs. Her dress began getting wet due to his tears. "No one really cares for me. They don't need me." She replied in a small voice. "Who cares about them? What about me?" He said still not letting go. "Neil even you don't need me. Or you wouldn't have sent it. Stop acting to care." Neil broke apart and cupped her face. "Sent what?" Her blue eyes stared at him intently as if they could see far more than beyond him. The blue orbs then shifted downwards pointing to the heap of burnt waste. Neil held and her hands and bent down to see that she was pointing at a white piece. Neil picked it up and gasped for it read-

You , are cordially invited to the wedding ceremony of
Neil Khanna and Mitali Sharma
Neil left the card. He stared at her "Avni I didn't send it. It isn't even going to happen. Ayesha Ma promise." "Why are you here by the way?" She asked. "I..I found that dad killed Ma." He replied. "You- WHAT?" She asked shockingly. "I'm here to say sorry. Please. We could start afresh. With our small and perfect family." He begged. "Finally realised now have we? Too late!" She said coldly. "Avni-" "it's not as easy as you realise. You must go. NOW! I was thinking to say this at the right time. I must say it now. One day you'll cry for me like I cried for you, One day you'll think of me, like I thought of you. One day you'll want me like I wanted you. One day you'll love me, but trust me darling I won't love you." Neil's brain stopped working. What is she saying? Neil bent and took their pictures, he couldn't afford to see them getting burnt. He tore the card and went back
Lord please help me! He joined his hands. But trust me darling I won't love you. Her words stung him squarely . He knew this time she was right.
