Avni got ready en avance to meet him. She was so eager to know where they were going. Neil, wouldn't just decide any place. He always took her to special ones. Even if they seemed stupid to others. But they mattered a lot to both of them. He always had a good reason ready with him to take her to that place. The doorbell rang and Avni sprang up towards the door to open it. Seeing Neil, winking at her, she hugged him tightly. When they broke apart Avni scanned him to check if he was wearing something decent. He was wearing a black t shirt, blue jeans and brown leather jacket. The kinda costume for an adventure trip. Accidentally their outfits matched. Accidentally their hearts also met. Accidentally, they fell in love. "Accidentally we are identical." They both said together and burst into laughter. Obviously the hair-do didn't match. Avni tied her browny golden hair in a high ponytail unevenly. She looked too cute. "Where are we going?" She asked. A wink from him and an eye-roller from her ended the conversation. He blindfolded her and took her to the car.
When he unfolded it, Avni's expression was hard to decipher as much as it was to read a person's mind whom you just met. But did they just meet?
Was she disappointed? Sad? Was his girlfriend going to give him an exceeds expectations? Most importantly, she shouldn't be angry.
"Neil seriously you get your girlfriend on your first date to an amusement park? And of all, this one?" She asked wrinkling her nose as tears made way to her eyes. Neil knew he had knowingly hit her nerve, which contained her rotten childhood memories. He knew she was trying her level best to hide her emotions, but failed to do so. Her lower lip quivered as she looked away from him. She couldn't match his eyes or he would know. Her blue eyes, just bared her soul to him like a storm couldn't be hid. "What's.. what's the reason behind it?" She asked in what she thought was all her strong voice when it merely came out as a hiss. "You can't hide. Say it." Neil told her, completely ignoring her question. She closed her eyes and thought of all the good things that ever happened to her. Mowgli. Neela Ma. Ayesha Ma. Neil. Bebe. Papaji. Mummyji. That's all. They were enough for her, enough to give her happiness. But nothing in this whole universe could remove the old pain she had. 'Cause no one could actually feel it. Everyone understood it. But there was something known as a feel. No one could snatch that pain away. It was all hers. The best and unforgettable combination for Normals was old wine, old friends.

"We barely know each other. No matter how madly we love the other one, Avni, I don't know you. I don't know who you truly are. I have just seen the part of you that you portrayed and not the one that's hidden completely for like 25 years now. I don't want you to forget it. No one's alive now who knows fully you. It went wet due to her tears. "You're not a stranger. Let that Avni be in only. Avni Ashish Mehta was destroyed as soon as she was formed. No one really knows her." She replied, crying now. "I never even turned up here before today." "You're lying. You came. Just fot once, you came with your father alone. You turned up here to cherish those moments." He said advancing on her. He knows. "15th June, 1988." She said the day in a trance. Like she was reciting a part of the story which never existed.
