Neil carried her towards his car and took her to the nearest hospital. Thankfully the doctor came out early as a sign that she wasn't hurt badly. He said that he could meet her and that she was consious. Neil rushed in and saw her lying with a dense bandage on her head. But what troubled him was her scared expression. As soon as she sensed him by her side she hugged him tightly like her entire life was dependent upon it. Neil spilt a few tears as even he was craving for this closeness, this hug which only she could give him. He had hugged her still body a few times, but he wanted her to give it. Now she did. He caressed her hair lovingly "Hey! It's nothing. Hm? We'll catch the person." Neil tried to console her. "He's doing it again." Avni said, sobbing. Neil broke the hug and cupped her face. "What do you mean by again?" He asked worriedly. This person was definitely not safe to deal with. "He. I don't know why he's after my life. My Sukoon Ghar. He always sends abrupt notes asking me to vacant the house. Then when I am all alone, he attacks. He did this once. Only I know how I was able to defend myself. I..I could have seriously died.. I was in the final month of my pregnancy. It was so hard to bear that pain. Defending. Then..." She couldn't finish further as he put his hand to her mouth to shut her up from saying anything else. "Never talk about dying." He warned but suddenly his phone rang. Avni took notice and sighed in anger. Mitali. Neil didn't pick the phone. "As if you care." She shot back coldly. She didn't knew where this anger suddenly came from. She thought it had vanished but appeared out of thin air. Neil cursed Mitali under his breath. Gods of Olympus Mitali! You got this time to call? "You can go out and talk. If you have problem with me being near you when you want to." She said again. The doctor came to relieve the pressure saying "She can be discharged." Neil sighed and together they went back to Sukoon Ghar but saw a guest waiting out for them. Her actually. Avni advanced towards him, acquiring a defensive mode. She then ran and pinned him to the front door while Neil took his gun, pointing at him. "You have a gun?" She asked in disbelief. "Doesn't matter. Hold him." He replied, shrugging. With his muscular shoulders and arms, he looked too cute. Stop it. She chided her mind and focused. "Rahul!" She gasped releasing the person. "Yaar first see and then attack." Rahul said while sighing in relief. Later, he did something that made Neil boil in anger. He pulled Avni for a hug and she. Well, she reciprocated. Neil was unaware that they were earlier neighbors cum friends from the past ten years. "How did you get hurt?" He asked. "She just um, sort of got attacked." Neil replied, glaring at him in a deadly manner. "Hey! Why you becoming an angry young man bro? And-" Rahul asked. Neil clenched his fists and spoke through gritted teeth. "And. She. Needs to rest. Now." He spoke and before Avni could protest, he grabbed her by her arm and took her inside. He took her to her room and made her lie on the bed forcefully. He gave a glare to her and went out to have a face off. Rahul was examining the surroundings, the shattered pieces, depicting a fight. The house was in a mess completely. But instead of carrying an expression that should have been, he was smirking. Neil went towards him. "Why the hell are you smirking?" He asked. "Thinking about how beautifully she fights." He replied. His smirk was annoying him like anything. "Don't you dare set your eyes upon her." Neil warned him. "Or?" Neil started moving dangerously close to him. Rahul smirked again and pushed him away and went out. But Neil saw something that made his heart stop. This can't be. He thought. He was about to call Dd but Mitali called up instead. "Neil we're having a bachelor's party tomorrow night." She chirped. God just shut her up. "Mitali I told you we're breaking this marriage." Neil huffed. "I know Neil. I'm saying this to reunite you both. Look try to impress her by singing some songs or something, I'll back away. Okay?" Mitali said again. Neil suddenly had an idea. "Yeah." Saying this he cut the call. I can use that as an opportunity to. Yeah. He called Dd and told him about his plan.
Someone to catch. Plan to implement. A party to organise. Songs to decide. Pacify lady don wife. A stubborn son. All till tomorrow. Easy isn't it Neil.
