"Mumma?" Zara murmured, peeking over Avni. She somehow managed to crawl out of Bebe's room and then upto her mom, who lay asleep with her ill son.

As Avni was sleeping, she didn't wake up with that call, though sensed something. After a few grunts, Avni opened her eyes and blinked them a few times to adjust to the darkness. Avni looked at her side, feeling Zara but found no one. She got up and decided to check on her.

She went outside her room and found the lights of the kitchen on downstairs. "Who's there at this time?" Avni asked herself and followed.

"ZARA! DON'T TOUCH IT ANYMORE!" Avni shrieked at her little one. Zara had turned on the light through the switch that was placed low. And holding a piece of broken glass. Avni's sudden shriek made her drop the piece which pierced her foot.

She cried in pain and Avni rushed to her, worried-stricken. "Baby..What did you do? Come. Come to Mumma." Avni kicked away the rest of the broken pieces and picked up her little daughter in her safe lap.

She went to Zara's room and made her lie on the bed. She ran and brought the first aid box and nursed her wounds. "Shh..don't cry baby." Avni kissed her forehead and hugged her. She then, broke apart and wiped her tears.

"What the, uh, Zara how did you even manage to go down the stairs all by yourself? And what the fish were you even doing there?" Avni asked, a bit frustrated with her naughty kid.

"I..I crawled..I wanted to have water!" She managed to say amidst her cries. Avni rolled her eyes. "Could've woken me up.." She said, not knowing how to react. "I tried!" Zara retorted and continued to cry.

"Okay, okay. Come, I'll sleep with you. Nini aa rahi hogi na?" Avni diverted her mind. Atleast, she thought she did. "Nai! Let's draw something!" Avni who was already very tired with the recent happenings was very much against this idea but couldn't bear with another emotional torture and flooding of tears, so, she agreed. Nonchalant, she was.

Avni brought her drawing book and watched her draw a monkey which was quite....Impressive?

"That's nice." Avni complimented. In a world where, mostly children draw human figures first, her children (Mowgli and Zara) were drawing animals. Mowgli had drawn a 'doggie',

They were quite into the thoughts of evolution.

She then drew a banana 🍌 and made n ambiguous demand. She wanted to eat a banana right now. Avni went, her eyes dropping low into the kitchen and brought a banana, Zara had a delightful munch on.

Around 5'o clock in the morning, Zara finally slept and so did Avni out of relief

"Koi chen se sone bhi nahi deta." Avni growled at Neil who came to wake her up, a couple of hours later. "Wifey calm down. What I was saying that, let's...Uh, call Akash and his family and we'll go for a picnic? Huh? Mowgli will enjoy too. Please, I want to see him happy with me. He goes well with Arush anyways." Neil pleaded.

"Neil I'm so freaking tired-"
"Wifey please!" Neil kissed her pout, to flatter her but Avni pushed him away, muttering curses. Neil, habitual to this, grinned and yelled at her retreating figure, 'Good Morning Wifey!'

Avni yelled back something in her mother like mother tongue, which, he again failed to understand and grinned, exactly what he did when he took her to the amusement park.

He then ran upto her and picked her up in his arms. "Neil, leave me!" She gasped and hit at his back, to just earn his stupid grins.

"Good morning Mumma.." Mowgli said, rubbing his eyes. "You feeling better?" Avni asked, cupping his cheeks. "Yeah, I think so."

"A doughnut for my baby boy!" Neil said, excitedly, bringing forward a nicely wrapped Dunkin Donut's box. "Mom I think you should really get him checked. He doesn't seem to be in his right senses, after all. I'm not so small to be classified as Zara."

"Mowgli, he's trying to be nice to you. You should, at the very least, acknowledge." Avni said, smiling, took the package from Neil and gave it to him.

"And now, get ready. We're going on a picnic." Neil said, picked Mowgli in his lap and took him for a bath and readied him.

"So, you've forgiven me finally?" Akash asked, scratching the back of his neck, grinning. "Kinda. Don't get too excited, Akash." Neil narrowed his eyes, playing along. "Oye chutanke, maaf karde ab to!" Akash laughed and hugged him like long lost brothers.

"I'm glad you guys finally made peace." Avni muttered and hugged her AK while Kia did the same to Neil.

"Let's do one thing, let's,um, exchange the couples for today's picnic? What say?" Kia clapped her hands in excitement. Neil and Avni shrugged while Akash laughed internally, thinking what kind of trouble Neil was getting into.
